Marcus came outside and noticed Kristy rather down.

"Is everything alright?" he asked untying Firefoot.

--I wipe my eyes quickly at the sound of Mr Severio's voice, and turn to him and smile.--

Yes, fine... Thank you...

--My smile falters slightly, and I turn away from him.--

Marcus took out his hankerchief as he handed it to Kristy knowing the watery eye symptom anywhere.

"I understand if you do not wish to share what is on your mind," he said as he checked Firefoot's saddle, "But sometimes dwelling on events past can be dangerous."

--I accept it gratefully, dabbing my eyes.--

I am just being a little sentimental, is all...Silly really. It's only now, or in the past few days, that I've really missed my father being around...

--I look down at my engagement ring, and hold it up for him to see.--

The proudest day of his life, he said, was when I would be married... And he isn't here to enjoy it like he should...

--I smile waterily, dabbing my eyes again.--

Marcus looked down at the girl understanding her pain.

"It's a simple line...but it makes thing all the better; those who die never truly leave us," he said as he got onto the horse, "They are always around us, all boundaries are broken when we die. That's why I'm never truly alone; my Guenivire is always with me. All you need to do is quiet yourself down and listen; your father will speak to you."

With that Marcus urged Firefoot on and began to dissapear down the lonely road humming an old tune to himself.

--I think on Marcus' words, and do quiet down, listening carefully to any noise. After a few minutes I feel the cold, so I go indoors, still holding Marcus' hankerchief.--

Ryder approached the auror HQ cautiously. He knew it was their HQ now as he didn't before. Now he was more awake. Ryder took a breath before he knocked on the door.

Leyna went out through the front down and onto the porch, she was heading for the appointment she had in less then 15 minutes. When she got to the right spot she apparted to the Ministry of Magic, hoping she returned with good news.

Link came outside of HQ, his breath visible on the air from the cold as he waited for Skyris.

Skyris came outside and crossing her arms leaned against one of the beams supporting the front deck.

"So..." she said waiting for him to spill. She had an idea of what it might be he wanted to say, but she prayed that he wouldn't.

Link let out a long sigh as he leaned on the railings looking out at the property instead of her trying to gather just what he would ask her and how to do it.

"I know this is going to be a bit of a shock to you, it sorta is for me," he admitted.

Skyris tilted her head to the side as she tried to catch a glimpse of his face.

"Link if it's what you're trying to ask me then note it's difficult enough coping with the fact that you look exactly like Graham..." she began.

"Skyris, maybe there's a reason for that," he said turning to look at her as he gathered the courage to do so, "Maybe Graham was meant to die, just like the old Skyris."

He looked at her not knowing if he made any sense.

"I'm not him Skyris, can't you see that? I'm Link, not Graham..."

Skyris gazed at him not sure what to say exactly; he was right and just what if this old feeling was really the birth of a new one.

Link looked back at the snow covering the grounds.

"The other day at St. Mungo's....I really thought you were going to die...and for some reason..."

"Link what I do with my life is my own choice!" Skyris snapped at him.

"You just don't get it do you? You keep saving everyone without thinking about yourself! Isn't it time someone saved you Skyris?" there wasn't any anger in his voice at the end; it was sadness.

Skyris felt that last sentence hit her pretty hard and it was as though warm steel was slowly being driven through her causing her whole body to go warmer then it was.

"Like h*ll you understand what I go through; how can you save me?" she asked, in a somewhat sad tone, "You have not done half of the evils I have, you have not killed anyone, tortured anyone and you sure as h*ll somewhat enjoy doing it in the very bottom of your rotting heart. This is all I have left of me; two hands and a wand that are trying to redeem myself somehow."

She looked out into the snow.

"These are my friends and family...I'd give my all for them if I knew they'd forever be safe from harm's way..."

Link looked at Skyris slowly begining to understand her even more.

"Your soul is more beautiful then you think Skyris," he said to her, "H*ll you've conquered more then anyone of us here and you're deffinetly the strongest woman I've ever met if you can drink two bottles of firewhisky a night and not even vomit."

Skyris looked at Link somewhat commically when he said this as he walked over to her.

"Skyris...you've the eyes of a wolf, but only when you look deep inside of them do you find the true beauty of the beast," he said as he touched the side of her face gently, "Will you at least give me a chance and go out to dinner with me later tonight?"

Skyris felt another hot surge go through her as he touched her; the last time she had left something like that was when she was going out with Graham.

"I'd be honored to," she said as she smiled lightly at him as she turned away, "I need to prepare in that case."

She then walked back inside HQ.
