Her muscles were contracting slightly, readying to push her body into the other wolf. She knew that this wolf was bigger and possibly stronger. But Alison had speed, agility, and thirteen years of knowledge of how different werewolves attack. This wasn't the first time she has had to fight during a full moon.

When Joshua's hand ran through her fur, she let out a low rumble. He was right that she shouldn't get into the fight, but he didn't know the wolf instincts that coursed through her body. It told her to attack if this black wolf attacked him.

Looking for a brief second at Joshua, she let out a softer howl then the other wolf. Carefully, she trotted over to the black wolf. Ali shook her head back and forth, telling him to not attack.

Leo kept pacing around, growling. He knew that if he attacked the female would start a fight. But he didn`t want a fight, he just wanted to rip the man`s head off. Half of year in Azkaban... it was so worth it. He was almost shaking with anger, his whole pose showing that.

At the man`s words he only growled.

Few more moments he just watched them, trying to think of a plan. He couldn`t win a fight against a werewolf and a wizard. He could win a fight against one of them. Ugh, that was giving him a headache. He growled loudly once again and glared at the man. Slowly he walked to the side, so that the female werewolf wouldn`t be in front of him.

Joshua watched the black werewolf. He kept looking at him. Obviously, he didn`t want to fight Alison, but from everything Josh guessed that he wanted him. For some reason. Maybe he just didn`t like humans. Josh turned to Alison, after deciding what to do.

"Ali... don`t fight him." he spoke firmly. "I couldn`t deal with it if you got hurt because of me. Let me take care of this. Really. I`ll handle it." he spoke honestly.

Of course, the big wolf scared him. Never before had he fought something this big. But he wouldn`t even allow Alison to get hurt.

Matching his steps, she stayed in front of him. If he was at her flank, then it would be harder to defend herself or Joshua. All the while, Alison's head shook back and forth, telling him to not attack the human. She had a chance at the fight, or at least a chance of running away with Joshua on her back possibly.

She heard Josh tell her to stop helping. Instead of backing down or stopping, she let out a whine to him, still shaking her head. It was instinct for her not to back down. If she did, who knows what would happen next time or this time.

Keeping her attention on the male wolf, she nudged him with her nose then pointed towards the forest. Maybe he would just go away. Ali couldn't figure why he wanted Josh. Most wolves tried to stay away from civilization, except Fenrir but he wanted children.

Leo probably should have left. But anger filled his veins and it wasn`t quite possible to calm it down, not while in such form. This was almost stupid. Still, he decided to take down the wolf girl and then go after the Auror. He just couldn`t let it all go.

With no warning he suddenly jumped on her, with his teeth biting into her neck, as hard as he could.

Ali didn't expect it. How could she really? The other wolf had seemed like he was going to back down. She let out a loud yelp as pain ripped through her neck. She was having a very bad day of injuries. Must be a record. It became more of a whimper .

She tried to thrash around, shaking off the male werewolf. It was getting lighter out so there wouldn't be much more chance of pain. She tried nipping at his torso or paws. It ended up moving him in front of Joshua.

Joshua`s eyes went wide as the wolf attacked Alison. For one short second he panicked, afraid that she will be hurt, afraid that it will all turn out ugly. But then he realized that he had to act. Just he couldn`t shoot any spell, afraid that he might hit her. It was hard to say what was her and what was the other wolf.

Until she threw him on the ground. He reacted quickly to that and pointed his wand at it. "Incendio maximus!" He cast the first spell that came into his mind.

Leo felt as something sharp slashed up his chest, and it stung horribly. But he still couldn`t get over the lust for revenge. It was basically driving him, and so when she threw him off, he got ready to jump on again, get her out of the way, and then get to the man. He didn`t even notice that it was just minutes before daylight.

Yet, when he got ready to jump, he realized that something was wrong. It was hot to his back. Very very hot. And it was becoming worse. He only needed to take a short glance, to understand that he was on fire. Great. Letting out a loud howl he quickly pulled back and ran off to the forest, to find some water.

Alison was bleeding from her neck, she could figure that much out. But what was worse was that her fur had been silver so Joshua would be able to see the blood. It was a relief though that the male wolf had been thrown off her, and that he was distracted. She trotted back over to her human when the other wolf went away.

Looking to the sky, she saw that it was breaking dawn. Feeling the normal transformation with a bonus pain, she curled up to shield her neck from Joshua. Also, her clothes were torn to shreds partly so she was lucky that the pants were intact enough that she could put them on.

Wrapping her arms around her chest, she sat against the trunk of the tree. Her hair was covering most of her new cut, but the blood was pooling down her body quick. "He won't be coming back for a bit," she told Josh.

Joshua saw the blood on her fur. It was more than obvious. And for that moment he pushed all thoughts aside - except from those who were logical. He had to heal her up, but was a werewolf same as a human?

There wasn`t time to decide. He quickly saw her changing, and turned around again, giving her some privacy. That was the least he could do.

When that was done he turned to look at her and winced. He hated this. But still, he didn`t let his feelings take over. Not in critical situations like such. That would only make everything worse. He walked to her and knelt down. The cut was on her neck - he could see crimson blood pouring down. And if he had allowed himself to feel... that moment would have been horrible.

He conjured a white bathrobe and threw it around her shoulders. Then looked into her eyes, determined expression on his face. "I`ll take you to the hospital. You need it." he said firmly. Deep inside he knew that when the rush was over, he was going to feel hell a lot of shit.

Alison used her hand to hold the robe close as she slid her other arm into the sleeve and did the same for the other arm. She felt bad that it was getting bloody though. Normally, she would have clothes to wear home because she would have stripped out of them and hid it, but this time it was only short pants.

Using her legs to stand, she leant against the tree, one hand holding the robe to the cut and the other holding the robe together. "Okay," she whispered out, feeling drained.

Joshua shuddered silently, seeing how weak she was. He wasn`t allowing himself to think, but it wasn`t completely possible. He should have let her go alone. If not him the wolf wouldn`t have attacked. It not him she wouldn`t be injured. Dammit. He hated thinking.

Stepping close to her and wrapping his hands around her shoulders he kept her close. "I`m sorry..." Joshua murmured to her, before apparating them both to St. Mungos.

Alison and Joshua apparated to the porch of the headquarters. He wanted to make sure that she was at least there before he went home. Not that he didn't want to stay with her, Josh just had to make sure Stephanie didn't get hurt or anything. With a brief kiss, he apparated home leaving her standing on the porch.

She wasn't hurt that much anymore. Her fist stung barely any after that punch to Cat's face, but the worst had to be her shoulder that Jake bite. The vampire venom was the only reason that it had not healed quickly and not as painfully. She was just glad that it was over, nothing to worry about now.

However, Ali only just thought of that when a giant rucksack came crashing over her head. She couldn't see and the sack also caused her voice to be muffled. Then she felt the odd pulling sensation of being apparated away.

Glamour spell? Check. Usual worn out yellow jacket? Check. Anything to cover up the bruises on her neck and arms? Not check. Well, not for her neck at least but she didn't care so much. Besides, it wouldn't take much effort to just pull her hair around her face to hide it. That situation was not to be thought about even if it needed to be. At the moment it should have been questioned why she had picked the order headquarters of all places to sit and think.

Ella was seated on the steps, her hands shoved in her jacket pockets, and contemplating how late she could stay out before she would be forced to face questions in the morning. She'd be twenty tomorrow, now that she bothered to remember, and she didn't like that fact either. Years were going by and yet she seemed to stay exactly the same. That's how it felt anyways.

Sit and think. Sounded like a good enough plan for the night. Then it would be the much too long walk back home. Anti-magic didn't exactly have all the pro's she thought it did, but her wand was snapped in two so not like she could pick it up again to use. Apparation itself made her dizzy these days anyways.

Abi was only stopping by the headquarters to pick up a few papers, but she stopped dead in the grass as she saw who was sitting on the porch steps. Ella. Blinking a few times, her hand unconsciously went to her palm and she said in surprise,

"What are you doing here?"

The funny thing was that at the moment Abi honestly couldn't remember if she was supposed to be angry at Ella right now. Was she supposed to be arresting her? Which time of the year was it- when Ella was surprisingly considerate and helpful and saving peoples lives, or when...

Well, she figured she'd start off thinking on the good side. Remembering slowly that Ella had to have been the one that went overboard- that Ella had been in that maze as well, Abi decidedly shook her head, put her hands in her pocket of her windbreaker, and finished with, "How...are you?"

She could at least attempt to be polite to start off with.

If she expected anyone she expected someone who wouldn't bother her. Either way or they'd give her the 'you aren't supposed to be here' look and go on their way. Sane people probably slept at this hour but she didn't think she was very sane half the time so. Abi of all people though?

"You sure know how to start a conversation," Ella remarked first.

The dysfunctional way they worked probably accounted for why normal conversation itself seemed so awkward. Weird. It didn't work. Not really. She wanted someone to get advise on her current situation, but talking to Abi about Faustus? Right. Unless she left out names. That could work.

"I'm okay."

At least it wasn't a lie. She was neither great or awful.

"What about you? I would have thought you were at home with your family or something and not out in the middle of the night."

The witty remark was something expected. They usually got under each others skin as best they could. So, Abi just shrugged and said, "I consider it a gift."

She took a few feet forward, leaning against the porch railing and looking down while wriggling her nose slightly. This was just bizarre. A normal conversation for them? Was the earth ending? She cast a glance up for a second to make sure that the sky wasn't falling and then shrugged. Honestly, as far as she was aware, Malius was alive- there was no evidence whatsoever for Ella's other various crimes, it wouldn't hold in court, and there was the added fact of the damn mark on her hand stopping her from really being able to do anything. So for right now, she let all of their past slide.

Besides, she owed Ella her life still. She hadn't forgotten.

"I suppose I can't complain." She shrugged, and then continued, "Yeah, I was just gonna pick up a file...I didn't really expect anyone would be here this late." She paused. "So what are you doing here in the middle of the night?"

Ella found it actually sort of amusing how Abi just stayed standing. Like she was against sitting by her or something. Whatever it was. Things were at a stand still anywways. No crimes and no fights with anyone major so she didnt't see how talking to Abi would be damaging.

"Sitting and thinking," she answered. "Since you'll ask what I was thinking about then I'll say several things. Like if Emma's actually being taken care of better now that she isn't in my care. How if my dad has un-kicked me and my sister's out of the house. How I'm going to manage to fix a hardly existent relationship with a rather ill tempered and conceited guy. Non-existent because...casual meet ups don't count. Doesn't bloody count either if you admit anything."

She stopped afterward knowing she had said too much. Ranted more like. Oops. Still.

Abi's mind spun as she listened and then she folded her arms on her chest.

"Okay. I definitely couldn't follow that." Abi figured it was far better to be honest about it. "But it sounds like it really sucks." Her eyes shut for a second if she tried to think it through and she said softly, "I'm sorry to hear about Emma. Is there... well. Never mind. I guess not."

Abi had been about to offer help, but she figured that was pointless. It killed her, however, to hear about a daughter being kept from their mother. It wasn't like Emma's bloody father was going to be any help in the matter, and she couldn't stand how families were just being torn apart. It happened all too frequently. That was why she'd joined the Order in the first place- why she'd run away; she couldn't stand losing family. She'd lost Ryan, and he'd lost her. She couldn't know her niece or her nephew. One of her nieces she'd never met-- she'd never met, because the bastard, that bastard Drake, the one who had almost killed her, had killed her niece before she'd ever had the chance to meet her. Abi hated how frequently families were being ripped to shreds and she let her eyes flutter back open.

"I hate that." It was spoken heatedly in a small whisper. "I really do. There's no way Emma's better off without you, and if there's anything you need to get her back.."

Abi held up her hand softly, pulling the edge of her shirt down, to reveal the faded and softly glowing at their proximity mark to finish her sentence.

Ella figured it was typical Abi to want to help even when she didn't really know the situation. Like the fact Ella had pretty much been the one to willingly let Em go even if it was half her father's idea. She needed a break and that seemed to work. Sort of.

"You wouldn't know 'sucks' if it came up and introduced itself to you," she said, laughing without any real meaning toward it.

She didn't think Abi had everything perfect, but she seemed to have more good days than bad. Either that or she did a good job of not telling anyone about anything. Either or. Things were a mess and even Escape didn't seem like a good place to go. Basement duty? Last she checked that wasn't her thing to worry about.

"Emma's better off." She quickly cut off any rambling thoughts with that. "Trust me, she is."

Just like Juliette would be even if she wasn't even born yet. Still, when she was that was something else to somehow handle.
