-pokes the reviews forum. again- these sorts of topics go over THERE, seeing as that is what the reviews forum is for. reviews. x.X http://s6.zetaboards.com/PMF_inc/forum/17906/ in case you can't find the training center a couple forums up. draw yourself a lightsorece wherever you want the light to come from, and imagine how it would look, then shade it accordingly. where would the shadows fall? the highlights? also, the wings closest to us on the top look disconnected. adn the farther back bottom wing looks like it very much should not be there. Although, i must say, sticking wings on a sprite is generally extremely boring. And remember, more Pokémon getting smashed together however you can manage to mush them is not better, not at all- ESPECIALLY when you can't even tell where the fifty-billionth Pokémon is. i am confused as to why there is gas around it. First off, I'm not sure why you have wings sticking out of the head. In real life, birds often have wings on their bodies in place of arms. It would probably be more of an annoyance to fly with all that weight on your head. And a creature doesn't need four wings anyway. Personally, I think that Dragonair is a horrid sprite to practice shading on. I'd try doing so with a sprite like Voltorb or Porygon instead, but that's just me. Be careful when applying CP parts, as they might slightly screw up the smoothness of your shading. I think that the wings were unnecessary, in all cases, but oh well. |

That is the problem with mixing simply by copy-pasting: The flow becomes messed up. The shading seems inconsistent, with varying sources for the light, and the parts seem disconnected because they are at bizarre angles. Other than the design issues that Kam pointed out, the technical problems are as follows: - The two top wings are not at a consistent angle with the head. On their own, they look fine: the one on our left could be folded forward, while the on our our right could be stretched back. But on a same body, that looks very strange. You should try to scratch one wing on so that it mimics the position of the other, given the correct perspective. Copy-flipping is NOT an option. - The lower left wing looks completely disconnected. Again, you would have to draw it in yourself to make it be in a position at least similar to the one on the right. - If the cloud thingies are supposed to be around the sprite, then make some of then be half-hidden by the body (behind), some hiding part of the body (in front), and some doing both (where the body folds). As it is, they all seem to be in the same plane. |
