It's too late for PMF.
3 Pokémon splicing is really stupid IMO. Yes, splicing 3 together takes skill, but it doesn't take as much creativity as two-Pokemon splices.

basically, the first poke to pop up, like the top one will be the base, and the other two can be used for parts like limbs or colors, except not only colors, some feature resembling it muist be in the sprite
There should be no restrictions on which Pokémon are base and which is sub. This should be up to the mixer.

Maybe making it strict makes it harder, yes, as does adding more Pokémon to the mix. But are we going for spriting feats of epic proportions, like making a decent-looking sprite out of five random originals with strict rules on how to mix (which looks almost exactly like the one the other guy made), or for sprites that show not only technical skill, but creativity and potential?

I support the complete randomness of the Pokémon sets, but make it two-way and loose. This should yield the best results while eliminating any external interference.

ya, id the idea of the first one being the base was just an idea i had, it didnt neeeed to be like tht :P im fine with it being rasther loose iguess, tht would be fine, so ya, i guess it goes like this?
1.)we make pairs.
2.)judge hits generate 2, and pair one gets those, and they can use shinys and any game sprite, except for icons and PMD(i.e. fr/lg/r/s/e/d/p/plat are all allowed, oh and red blue crystal gold silver green etc.)
3.)judges continue with the sprite generating until every group has a pair of sprites
4.)spriters sprite untill lets say jan 5th? if this needs to eb changed let me kno, but this date gives us holiday vacation
5.)me and MM will collect sprites and present them to the judges
6.)judges judge
7.)tpssc wins
8.)end

:P

2) I wouldn't put any sort of restriction on which sprites can or can't be used, but this isn't a biggie.
4) January 5th is a reasonable deadline, especially if we start soon.
5) If we hold the contest one one of our boards (or both?), the members could simply post their completed works, instead of PMing. But this is assuming that the decision of who wins the whole thing is based on which side has the most wins, judged for each pair individually; we could make it a general thing where judges look at the sprites collectively to decide which side is better. I like the first option better.

Fine with me.
Where are we hosting the battles? Whichever forum is fine by me, but yours would probably better since this one will be closing soon and PMF2 may not be open in time. (If it is, though, we could host it on both sites.)
And what will define the win? The number of individual wins, or the collective win? (As I described above.)

ya we can host it on both, tht would be fine, ill set up a forum for it on the other site w/MM, hell need to PM me a list of whos in it for you

and yes, we are doing individual wins, i.e. there will basically be 8 individual 1v1 bttles going on and whichever side has the most victories total wins. and a tie ends in a final splice off tween me an u

Wait. What if it goes 4x4. It should be like the World Series, best out of 7.

I don't think it would be that hard to arrange a tiebreaker between Shed and Spleko.

I broke the tie by voting for Speed X and my vote was totally not biased by the prospect of an Ampharos mix. Yay. Can we get this over with already?

lol. xD
Y'know I didn't think of that while making the mix line.... XD

So have we decided who's gonna be up? I know I read a post listing the four people in a previous post, but... eh, I'm a little lost.

Well, this all sounds great to me... just as long as everything's clarified as soon as we start, so I'm not like all "wtf", and yeah. .~.

And I personally think that we should pair people with other people, in which it seems even (enough) and fair (enough)... because I'd personally have to agree with Kameshugener.
