You were meant to rule the dark, I was meant to see the sun Posts: 7,797 Group: Member + Member #137 Joined: March 13, 2005	We aren't using any EXP method, just the traditional 'level up after 2-4 battles' In the year 200X, MMORPGs have reached a new level of immersion. Virtual reality headsets are used to bring players 'into' the game. One of the most popular MMOs is the long-awaited Pokémon Online: Mutation. In this game players play the parts of Pokémon trainers in the region of Narlo. The game provides Trainers the ability to catch 'mutated' Pokémon that are randomly spawned by the game itself. Many are designed by the players on the official PO:M Message boards. Mutated Pokémon include the ever-popular Mixes, the uncommon Element Changes, and the rare Fakemon. In PO:M, there are 3 different servers, named after famous Pokémon forums: SPPF, the oldest and most populated normal server, TCoD, the middle-ranged Player-vs. Player server, and PMF, the small Roleplaying server, where players are encouraged to stay in character most of the time. On each server, there are 6 Gym Officers, who take the place of Gym Leaders in the game. Unlike Gym Leaders they are not restricted by type to make for a more strategic experience. The Gym Officers are real players with some Game Master powers who trainers defeat for Badges. However, aside from their Gym team of 3 Pokémon, they also have a personal team of high-level Pokémon. If a trainer can beat these superpowered Pokémon, they become the new Gym Officer of that Gym. Very few of these transfers of power have occured on the PMF server (on the contrary, many occur on TCoD). You are one of the Gym Officers of PMF. One day, a mysterious player nobody has ever seen before enters your Gym and challenges you to a battle for the ownership of the Gym. They wipe the floor with you using mysterious Pokémon, and you are removed from your position. Feeling dejected, you log out, only to log in later and find your personal team is gone, and only your Gym team remains in your PC. You are sent an in-game messege by Seika, one of the Gym Officers, that asks you to meet the rest of the GO's in the central town of Pangaea to discuss their circumstances. You take your Gym team and travel to Pangaea by train... Sign-Ups (5 other people can signup) Character Info: Info on your PO:M Character. Info on the real you may be revealed through the RP. Name: Edward King Age: 16 Gender: Male Appearence or Sprite: Edward has often been referred to as one of the walking dead, a nickname he's accepted with open arms knowing full well that his appearance fit the part. Chronic insomnia was the one to thank for that. His usually erect figure was bent and slumped, and in addition to his haggard face, gave him the appearance of someone who was on his death bed. Deep dark rings circled his eyes and a thin film of cold sweat was constantly stuck to his face giving his pale face a translucent look. A weak smile always accompanied his rather angular, distressed features, but it never reached his black empty eyes. His messy brown hair hangs lazily over his forehead, interfering with his keen vision. Edward's long legs are covered with a baggy jean material held up by black leather belt. Hiking boots with thick socks are wedged over his wide feet for the inevitably long task ahead. He usually has the sleeves of his long black sweater rolled up to his elbows and the zipper down partway to reveal a white undershirt. Personality: Perhaps the most dominant part of Edward's personality is his personal outlook on the world. He believes his negative attitude is justifiable because of what has happened to him in his life. He's anti-social, malicious, and above all pessimistic. Though strangely enough, the only time this side of his personality shows is when he's alone, or it only makes itself shown within his own mind. Otherwise, he's a very caring and sympathetic person. He'll put on a smile and talk with polite concern while thinking of the exact opposite within his head. But strangest of all, he doesn't even realize he's doing it. Though his personalities are otherwise intertwined he's only aware of them one at a time. He can be completely antagonistic and forget every kind deed he's ever done, and while listening or talking to other people he wouldn't ever consider speaking his innermost thoughts. As would be expected of chronic insomnia victims, Edward is always tired and exhausted though obviously he can only rarely get any rest. Not really, it would be like the anime; since it isn't the case of ash when pikachu learned volt tackle, that he forgot quick attack all of a sudden. sorry, not trying to create something, I just spent alot of tiem on a good rp forum, so~ sorry xD'
