Shop and Drop: Your #1 source of suicide since 2008.
|
I'd like to apply for: Feature Mod (first priority) Battle Mod Someone's gotta do it, and it's one of the more vital parts of PMF. The main requirement for this is to stay active, and I'm usually on at least once a day. I'm willing to dedicate time to work on this, and feel as if I'd be helping PMF by doing so. I'm honestly surprised that nobody's signing up for this spot. When I saw the WOW sprites when I first joined, I was amazed at how high quality they were and felt compelled to stay. Other newcomers might feel the same way. I want to help PMF get more members, and by showing them what the spriters here can do, they may feel encouraged to partake in crit, or PMA, or to just outright sprite more. I've used the Mod CP on a few other forums (namely Abscure in both incarnations, and some smaller places that were closed), and I'm used to using it. Lengthy paragraph, but this should convey the message. Edited by Kameshugener, Nov 27 2008, 10:52 PM.

hell yeah PMR Asst.
|
List: 1)PMR Assistant 2)Battle Mod 4)Feature Mod No others, I never really was a fan of WoS. If there are no other spots I'll gl;adly do Feature Mod, but Other people do seem much more enthusiastic about it, whereas I'm wary of it. I don't know if I'd manage it that well. Anyway; I've been a posting member here for nearing 3 years, absence is little and mostly I've left a note you in advance, and really it was only holidays. I've never gone "screw you guys, i'm leaving", neither with the consquential returning or actually leaving. I've been a fairly steady poster, though an evidently less steady spriter, recently my inspiration and motivation levels have been quite low, towards spriting. Though I'd like to try to turn my hand to it once more, seeing I've continued makig some computer art. Most of it done in paint. I feel I've helped devlop PMF, though perhaps not very much. I enjoy RPing and especially enjoy being involved in the production of one, such as PMR. I've had previous experience working on PMR, twice i think (?). And have held up many more staff spots elsewhere, mostly on RP forums, so I have giot skill within this area. Unfortunately though, most of those forums have since been closed down due to inactivity of members. Thankyou for reading, Spooky. [= Oright, and I have experience using Zeta and IF Control Panels. :D Edited applications. Edited by Spookyghost, Nov 26 2008, 03:15 PM.

PMR Mod PMR Assistant Um... I've been here for a while, over two years. I've been an assistant or a mod or even head of PMR once, and although I kinda randompoofed a while ago, I swear I won't do it again- that was mostly because of the beginning of the school year and homeworks. By next school-year-start, PMR'll hopefully be open, and I hopefully will manage not to go quite as inactive. I may be ever-so-slightly less active in spring, as school track and field season starts, but I will still try to be online at least once a day, hopefully more. I have quite a lot of experience with modding, adminning, RP-helper-ing, etc. quite a few RPing sites of all shapes and sizes in the past, and I've been RPing for 3 years, 3 Months, 20 days as of the time of this post. I am capable of what I believe to be a slightly above-average level of RPing posts, and I can make creative ideas when this is needed, particularily in the creation of areas perhaps for PMR. Despite my desire to be constantly working on ideas and typing RPing posts, I will happily do quite a bit of Pokédex info when this is wanted, too. I no longer do much spriting, but this is an RP position, anyways. Unlike Spooky, I don't think I've impacted PMF in any way other than potentially killing PMR when I went inactive, but again, I'm really sorry for that. Also, I tend to get along with others on the forum well, so there shouldn't be issues with me getting into conflicts with the rest of the PMR team if I am given the position. |

None.

I'd like to apply for Global Mod, because I think that I can manage topics and posts and all that. I know I haven't been the most active person lately, and that I've never had past expirience as anything else but a member here, I've been on PMF for 2 years now, and I know how things go. I've previously adminned many past Pokémon RPG forums and stuff like that, and modded a few others. I know how to work the Mod CP, and I can ensure that I can do...whatever you need me to do. wewt. dsfjfhksdhfd Admin Member Manager Global Mod Hm, where to start... I began my career at PMF Inc. three years ago. I've only ever dared to "leave" once or twice for immature reasons, but I've never officially abandoned PMF (nor will I). I've had my share of ups and downs (stop leaving, Emma!), but my stay has been nothing short of legendary. I have a lot of administration experience under my belt (Moderator/SMod/Administrator), and I've done my fair share of topic-locking-and-moving-and-deleting-and-the-like as well. A lot of you should know that I'm a nice guy, though I've been known to attempt to resolve issues/flame wars and "make everything worse". Other than that, I hope that my moderation/administration has been appreciated, and I would love nothing better than to continue to be a staff member in a way that would benefit PMF's populus. As of this point in time, my Average Posts Per Day is, pathetically, 2.1, though you should know that I've been way more active since May; post count shouldn't be much of an issue, as I've held my own against the Top Ten posters of PMF (tenth place, as of May 2008, but I think I got up to ninth before the crash). I've played a major roll in rebuilding and refining PMF multiple times; for example, I created another temporary forum named tempPMF for emergencies. I've also attempted a Pokémon rom hack named Pokémon Mutation Version (aka DiggehShedPhear Version) that incorporated people's mutated Pokémon sprites (which, unfortunately, is at a standstill). Boring stuff aside, most of you should know who I am and how I am by now. Even if I don't make it into the staff for the (third?) revival of PMF, I will continue to be an active member. And hey, I might even finish PMV someday. |

@ Moofz: Hm, I should add a Battle Moderator, to take care of the Monthly Contests and of The Arena. I didn;t actually think of that. @ Diggeh: Would you like PMV to have a board under Community Projects? |

Please note that the position of Battle Moderator had been added. If you have already applied but would like to edit that spot into your application, please edit your original post and post a direct link to it. The positions of WoS Assistant and now Battle Moderator currently have less applicants than open spots. Feature Moderator does not have enough applicants to have a poll. Other positions have enough applicants. You may apply for whatever spot you want, but please fill the missing slots! |

Positions applying for: Admin, Member Mod, Global Mod, Feature Mod. Why me?: Let's go back to Sep '05 when I first joined. PMF was at the peak of its activity and I did everything I could to contribute to the growing community. Only after 3 months of posting I was rewarded the Moderator position. That was short-lived, however, because only after 3.5 months I was upgraded to Super Moderator. I had only been on PMf for 6 months. During the time I was beomcing a Smod, the accompanying threads had several posts saying things such as 'Ilex may not have been here for a long time, but he's contributing more positively than any other of our staff'. This came from you, and although the quote might be a bit off, that is what people were saying at the time. I served my duties as a Smod for a year and half until I was promoted to your first choice Co-Admin. Since then I've gained administration experience of PMF until this day. I've seen a lot since I joined. I remember PMF's Glory Days, when spriter tests were all the rage to how PMF is now. I've always tried my hardest to defend PMF as a community and I will continue to try as long as I am a member of this wonderful forum. You know me Shed, and I know that you will make the best decision for PMf whether or not I am chosen for the staff at all. It's been a long time and you know that you have my trust :) |

Moofz for Battle Moderator? Oh, quite lovely, yes. Because you see, I'm just combative by nature. And thus it suits me well. Really though, I just did the MC for a couple months, and have done an adequate or higher job I believe. It gives me something to do, and keeps me around to possibly contribute elsewhere. I haven't been here as long (loooooooooong) as some others, but two years long is enough to understand how stuff works. probably?. It is true that I have neglected some duties in the past, but not the monthly contest. SO IT MATTERS NOT. Kindamaybeiguess. As I am bothered when people don't post/update battles, I will do my best to not let that happen. And as a plus, I'm overall very special. Edited by Moofzz, Nov 22 2008, 07:24 PM.

Positions: Admin, Member Mod, Global Mod, Feature Mod Why Ethan? I have created two entirely separate boards with 100+ members. I am willing to waste a whole lot of time to post and post on forums in order to advertise on large forums. In fact, I know exactly where we can advertise- in signature, though. The Game Maker Community if full of terrible yet aspiring spriters, similar to yours truly. If PMF can create a signature that exemplifies our talent and will to teach, we can appeal to the Graphics board of the GMC, which is one of the most popular of the large forum. Also, I am a loyal member, and maybe my activity has gone down with everyone else's, but I'm prepared to be just as enthusiastic about PMF as I was in 2004 when it restarts- and if you knew me back then, I was one PMF inc. fanboy. In terms of what I'll do for PMF internally, I believe that competition is a big way to help keep people active and allow people to develop. I have ideas on how to make battles more exciting and make more people enter. In terms of development, we absolutely must teach people how to sprite effectively and so that they can teach for us in return. If we can have homebrewed spriters, PMF will become an even bigger name. Edited by Leviathan, Nov 23 2008, 02:25 AM.

Don't go in the Shed!

So, it is Tuesday night and we need to see a change in the application picture. Here's the thing: while there is an excessive amount of applicants for Global Moderator (above all, but among others), Battle Moderator has only one applicant (meaning it will not have a poll), and WoS Assistant is short on applicants (less applicants than spots). So, if you haven't applied yet, or if you did not include four spots in your list, please consider Battle Moderator and, more importantly, WoS Assistant as options. |

In order: -Feature Mod -WoS Mod -PMR assistant -WoS assistant I came up with the idea for feature moderators forever ago, remember? xD Anyway, it's a position that I would love to have, but this does mean abandoning my previous spot as WoS mod... but then again, I wasn't very motivated to do much with WoS, if you remember correctly. :/ I really think I'd be better off as a feature mod. ...Experience, you say? Well, I've been an Admin at EVF for over a year, as well as staff here for who knows how long. :3 You guys know me. |

In Order: -PMR Assistant -WoS Moderator -WoS Assistant Since I'm horrible at applying for these things I'll just give reasons why I want to fill each of these positions. PMR Assistant: Well, I like RPing so I think I'd be pretty useful in this department. xD I'm good at it, and I put more than one sentence when I type. Umm, I have lots of good ideas to share and such and in general, I want the position. Experience? Hmm, I have modded/adminned on several Pokémon RPing boards. Unfortunately, most of them have died due to inactivity, but I still RP at other popular boards. WoS Moderator/Assistant: I used to be assistant so I know how everything works, and I tried to be active till it died out. ^_^; I'm a pretty good spriter and an unbiased judge. I know several spriting types and techniques. Sucky application. Fin. Edit: Updated Edited by 3d, Nov 28 2008, 12:18 AM.
