A couple weeks ago, my school had our spring concert (superhero themed. pwnt.) During the intermission, one a my friends came back to where a bunch of us were sitting. She had this really nasty sounding cough and looked really shaky. Apparently, she had been running across the road just outside and vomited blood after falling down. She did better as the night went on and managed to do the final few songs with the rest of the band. But a couple days ago she came into English and told us (me and one of our other friends) that she has lung cancer. There isn't much they can do to treat it and the doctors have given her three months. TT__TT |

Damn... it must be horrible to hear news like that... If she really has only three months, I hope these can be good months for everyone around her (aside, of course, from the fact that time is short). |

It's a bit better now. The doctors have been constantly giving new time spans since she got excepted for chemo. 4 months, 6 months, 12 months... Right now she's got 3 years. Which means she can finish high school. We were pretty happy about that. [whee] Anyway, I'm told that if she keeps responding, her expectancy will keep going up. I'm trying to stay realistic though and not take anything until it's for certain. |

That is great. If chemo works, the doctors can be wrong. Tell er a stranger wishes her luck. |

Well, I hope the chemo works well for them, and I hope the lives of the people around her aren't getting hurt too much. |
