Well, he's a platypus. They don't do much.

On topic, overpopulation IS an issue the word faces. Only having sex to have children would help it. |

XDD So you can still have sex as many times as you want, therefore producing more kids? Your arguments seem to be based on a world that doesn't have condoms? o: Also, why does it take 1/6th of the world to live in the same country for it to take action. It's China I'm talking about. They have a law which means you are only allowed to 'possess' one child. That's how to stop overpopulation. |

That's not the answer in my opinion, I mean, you're an only child, but what if your mom had a twin, and you'd be the one thrown into the water with a rock on your leg? I think I'll have more than one child, and no one, I mean no one's stopping me. |

I'm not saying I'm for it. I'm saying it's how to stop overpopulation if we're that desperate for it. And there's always adoption. Not 'throw to the bottom of the sea' option. |

I know, but it's fact that in China, mostly if the first born is a girl, they did that, because a boy could work, and create the family more income. I think the problem lies in Africa. |

I think the problem lies in every other continent but Africa, failing to efficiently support Africa. Barack Obama should be the African president, working from America, and be allowed a big-ass budget to get the place up and running like any other continent. But back to the religious side of the debate. |

okay then. what about people using the word 'god' as a point of emphasis, i know i do out of habit, though i am an atheist. like 'god i hate mondays' or some such. i use it regularly in that way, but do you guys think it should not be used by people who believe, like me, that there is no god? |

Nevermore had a word for my case, butit was to complicated to remember right now. Ahem, I, have no religion, yet I'm not an atheïst either. I'm like and atheïst that doesn't dicard the idea that there is a god, or gods for that matter somewhere. And I'm a logic thinker, like that.....guy o-0 's theory about evolution, I believe in that o-0 I believe there is a greater force among us, but I wouldn't call it 'god' directely. |

So you're an Agnostic who believes in Darwin's theory of evolution. Same as me and Shed. And probably many other members. |

Well for one, I think that its just a bit too much of a coincidence that we just happened have earth be placed where it is to have water form, not to mention life! I don't think that we could be running around with imagination, creativity, logic, or even hope if we started out as lifeless elements. Aside from that I believe in evolution and science and stuff, but I believe that God motivated this all to happen. On another note, this topic is still going on? o_O |

I find it a bit strange that some guy up there is playing Sim City with my life. I prefer to control my life myself, which involves believing that no one has complete control of my future. |

There are way too many stars out there... Earth probably isn't the only planet with rational life-forms, but that's a completely different debate. I'm just saying that you shouldn't say "but Earth is just perfectly placed!" because it's probably not the only living planet and that's an anthropocentric view. You can still believe someone made it happen, though. |

At another note, Earth is not perfectly placed. 1) The habitable zone is a few million miles across. It's a miracle that Mars or Venus are so close to the habitable zone but still aren't in it. 2) I'm pretty sure one out of 100 stars have a planet/s in the habitable zone. I read that once, not sure where... |

I've wondered occasionally which religion is the 'right' one. Christianity morals seem just, or, at least, Jesus' morals did. But, to be honest...I'm not sure if any of the current religions are completely 'right', if any are, and if any could possibly be. Religion, at the moment, simply seems to be a moral code, a membership card, and a war cause. How many wars and conflicts in the past have been caused by religion? o.o; The current religions don't seem to be getting anyone anywhere :/ |

Well I believe in most of the christian morals (as most of them are law). But I don't see why someone should tell me what I can and can't do with my own body. I won't kill anyone, I won't commit adultery. But I will drink alcohol, and have sex before, outside, and during marriage. |
