About the Tibetan protests against the Chinese. I read in the paper a guy got sent to jail for 3 and a half months, just for "speaking out against the country". |

Funny how when it's a rival nation like China, everyone jumps the wagon and starts this 'Free Tibet' crap. But when it comes to separation in their own nation, such as the Lakotah people in Northwestern USA, no one gives a ****. This is just the USA government and media trying to turn the world against China because they're the only real competition to the USA. You could mention the whole human rights thing, but that is an entirely larger issue than just Tibet alone. |

Yeh, you could. China HAS put Tibet in slavery for several dozen years now. Not sure of how long though, I used to know, but I've forgotten >< |

Tibet has been a free nation, though, before Mao's guys came. China wants Tibet for it's natural resources, and has been using unhuman methods to keep the power. The Dalai Lama deserves to regain autonomy in Tibet, and that's almost necessary for peace to be restored. |
