(SNES game, best to know and or play it to fully enjoy meh comic) Well this is a 'what if kind of story'. It's my first big comic project which ened up making me a little famous in the Earthbound cult-ie-ness. So shall we get kraken? Character List: (for those lost and or confused) Posted Image Kraken-ist: The main character of the story, the hero per say. He's got one object and one obect alone, and that is to kill the killer of the KRAKEN. For those who never played the game, the kraken was a boss you fought in the game. Anyway so who ever he is he wants to complete is goal and finaly be free...well I guess to have another obsession. Which would be nice. I mean he is kinda violent. And YES he is a person in an outfit...I don't see how people wouldn't get that... ._. Must be my poor art skills. Posted Image Ness: THE HERO OF EARTHBOUND, THE MAIN CHARACTER IN IT, HE IS ALSO IN SMASH BROS. Ok just in case you had no clue who he is, now you know. Anyway this is my vision of him if he aged ten or so years from the point were earthbound ended. He is very powerful and hard to beat. SPOILERS[size=1]...if you really want to know, he has a short of complex in the story. If you will, I made it so he is very stuck in the past. Thats why he dresses the same acts the same and can't get over the fact he has all this power and no means to use it anymore. Oh and another joke I had running the comic was that he keeps renaming the same attack. In the game this was the attack that you'd named yourself so I felt, what the heck, he can change it if he really wants to. Ozwalled was my always correcting my spelling mistakes for me, so thats what I honored him with. :3[/size] Posted Image Paula: The only female member of the orginal team of 4. She has Psyhic powers as well. She appears as a main character really later on in the story, but she plays an imporant role. In the original release of the comic, people disliked how I made her act. But hey, my comic my choice. I wanted to push all aspects of my comic, so thats why she ended up the way she did. Posted Image The Carefreebomb: He only appears once in the game, when you are in a very cool place...anyway, when I played the game, I feared this guy the most. So yeah had to bring him in as a cute kick around character. His name is really his personality too, very care free x3 Posted Image Master Barf: Lovely name isn't it? Another boss from the orginal game. I really took liberties with his character design, so he looks nothing like his game counterpart...cept for the fact they are both big piles of puke. Woot Posted Image No Good Fly: Once again another enemy from the game. She likes master barf for some reason so she always hangs around with him. She plays no huge important role, but is fun to have none the least. Posted Image Jeff: Third member of the chosen 4. He is mostly...a nerd and thats about it. Plays a pretty minor role compared to paula and ness. But yeah, really only it for a small joke at the end for fellow crazy earthbound fan...you wouldn't get it too much if you aren't into the whole Paula x Ness thing. Posted Image Pokey: He was Ness' rival in the game, and ends up doing some really bad stuff too. He vanishes into the time line at the end of the game and no one has heard from him since. cough mother 3 cough This comic was made just before we new anything about the new game so this is kinda going off the idea that the third never existed x3 Posted Image Gigays: Spoilers[size=1]...he was the last boss in the game. Root of all evil if you will...or something. Ness and the chosen 4 beat him at the end of the game.[/size] Need to know characters that don't really appear in the comic: Posted Image Buzz Buzz: A widdle buggy that fallowed you around at the start of the game. He dies after getting smacked. He came from the future to help save the world from Gigays. Posted Image Picky: Younger brother of Pokey. In the game he really looked up to ness. Super comic spoiler characters: Posted Image Posted Image ???: SPOILERS[size=1]...By the time you read this I hope you have read all of my comic. Ok I want you to crictal think for a moment. Who is the Kraken-ist and who is Buzz Buzz? This is the twist in my comic that I couldn't really explain all that well. You see Buzz Buzz came from ten year in the future at the start of the game. So in his future the world is destoryed by Gigays. So he went back in time to prevent that future from happening. So exactly who is he? According to my comic I desided to assign that role to Picky. points up so Buzz Buzz is Picky ten years in the future. Of course since time was alter, the future never happened so there never was a Buzz Buzz. So what became of Picky? My whole sceme of the comic is that Picky liked the Kraken a lot. I mean a huge fan, die hard fan. not true in the game, but yeah...never says he didn't like it. So when the Kraken was killed by Ness, Picky went crazy. Plus the fact his older brother sided with the bad guys and was now gone didn't help either. So he became the crazy Kraken-ist. Now the ending is prehaps the most confusing part of it all. Why are there two Pickys in the same timeline? And thats where my story ends. I do have plans on explaining this in the sub comic 'I am buzz buzz' but that is still in the works as of right now.[/size] Extra's: Every comic has some extra stuff.
