((This is based on a book I'm going to write. I'm making the RP to gather ideas for the book)) In the stone age, humans and their brethren, the Oni and Asura, created weapons out of sharpened rocks. However, they found these weapons were useless against the wild creatures that pursued the land, and thus they continued to eat the flora and fauna that grew on the continent of Danaan. Until one day, where the tribal leader's mother died of illness. There was a great funeral, as it had been the first death since the human tribe had been assimilated. As was the old custom, the son of the human was to take a special item and wave it over the deceased. Thus the tribal leader took his arrowhead, the first weapon ever created, and began to wave it over his mother's body. Suddenly, a light rose out of the body. It formed into the arrowhead, transforming it into a small dagger made of an unknown material. The dagger glowed with a beautiful blue light as the tribal leader raised it high into the air, the rest of the tribe oohing and ahhing at the wonderful new discovery. The tribal leader thus took the name, Hual Capoca, meaning 'Great one of the Life Forge', and began to sacrifice humans to create weapons to hunt with. He and his descendants began to turn Danaan into a dictatorship, and the sacrifice continued. When they ran out of poor humans, they took the lives of Oni and Asura. This angered the Oni and Asura, and with the help of Soma, who was half Oni, half Asura, they created Lugh, the Resistance. In the current age, a great manmade rocket was just stopped from hitting the earth by a robot named Baal, who was swayed by the resistance into stopping the rocket. This rocket was meant to hit a poor part of the country, as ordered by the government, under the control of Hual's descendant, Vulcan. Mithra, Soma's descendant and the leader of the Resistance, led an attack against Vulcan, which killed him, but the government was taken over by Goibhnu, Vulcan's son, who sucessfully broke up the resistance and killed Mithra. Now, people with connections to the resistance, the government, or even Baal have gathered in the town of Arc, have gathered together at the command of Varuna, an Asura and one known as a Soul Dealer, to reap souls and create weapons for money unbeknownst to the government. But behind their job, they all harbor secrets. Secrets that could destroy, or empower, the government of Danaan. Sign Up Sheet: Name: (Oni and Asura have clan name first, human name second. The power of the weapon comes from who the person was and how they died) ((I'm going to play as the person who will become the book's main chracter... sorry if that offends anyone, I just wanted to be able to fit him in the RP without him becoming an NPC ^^; and oh yeah, 6 people including me can sign up. Age: 11 Appearence: (write out please. sprites are optional.) I'll make a sprite, then. Personality: Pretty upbeat. He's serious when it comes to his job and the government. Somewhat of an anarchist unless the leader is more mild. (As in, I'd be an anarchist if the dictator was Hitler, but not if it was JFK or a more relaxed person.) Seeing as the government is dictatorial, he hates it. He also goes insane if he is doubted. (See history as to why.) As OT, he retains his anarchistic feel, but is murderous at all times. History: He began life as Omaripus Terrell, a 14-year-old madman. He managed to see the rocket that was supposed to kill the poor people. One of the few people who knew about the government's plan to kill the poor children, OT tried to tell people of the tale. The government put him in a mental asylum to get him to shut up. He became very annoyed when employees there tried to calm him, attempting to use hypnosis on him to calm him. He went berserk (although he always was) and killed all the employees at the asylum using an axe he found on display. He changed his name to Shangomas Jonathan to attract less attention. Weapon(s): Has a few shurikans. Prefers to use his axe, though. Soul in Weapon(s): The spirits of the employees at the asylum he killed are in his shurikans, and they have a calming effect on anyone he throws them at. His axe has the soul of Omaripus Terrell in it. (Let me explain. Before Omaripus Terrell became SJ, he put his own soul in his axe so he'd always be there. So, the murderous side of OT remains, and SJ is a bit more like OT every time he kills someone with his axe.) Just so I don't forget to make mine. |
