Don't go in the Shed!

I want to pose this question; I will answer it myself later by right now I don't feel much like it. I just have to post this now or I'll forget. What type of economic system do you support most and why? By that I mean, are you a capitalist, communist, socialist...? |

In theory, communism is hands down the best. But in practice it's the worst. I think I prefer the socialist system, where there is a market economy but the government still provides things like health care and transit. |

Communism doesn't work because everyone acts, by nature, on their own self-interest, and capitalism uses that while communism is the exact opposite. The ideal system is perfect communism, but for that we need to change the way of thinking of anyone in a society such that they work towards the benefit of the society as a whole. While you can have a capitalist society with communist minds, you cannot have the opposite. If everyone were to work for the benefit of their society, money would not even be necessary and everyone would be exactly equal. Not only that, assuming that there are people who enjoy working at every job, society will be happier as everyone in it will be doing what they enjoy. But being relistic, I do agree entirely that socialism is the best. You don't see many social crises going on in the scandinavian countries, which are mostly socialist. |
