[size=7]PMFinc. Spriter Test[/size]
[dohtml]
Take a shot at becoming a certified Spriter! Only above-average spriters can pass this test!

The Testing System

The testing system is very simple. Start by requesting your test sprite in the Requests topic, making sure to choose one of the available test options. Once you have been given your test sprite, make it and submit your test to the same spriter who gave you your test. Make sure to follow all the Submission requirements, as any discrepancies will result in the invalidation and automatic failure of your test.

The testing spriter will then make a poll in the Spriter Test Voting board, hidden to all non-Spriters. There, Spriters will vote on whether they believe you should be accepted as a Spriter, or if you still need further practice. Some comments will usually be given, along with the casting of the vote. Before the closure of the poll, you may use the Updates topic to check ask how your test is doing, although the update you receive will only include the votes and no comments. Finally, after the poll is closed, your will receive your final answer via the Results topic, along with some general comments on where you excel and/or where you may improve.

Use the following links for more information.

Requests | Submissions | Updates | Results
[/dohtml]

[dohtml]
Requests

To request a test, simply post in the Requests topic and a Spriter will tell you what to do. However, you must specify what sort of test you would like to take, usually based on your area of specialization. The available tests are:

In these tests you are allowed to use images or official sprites as bases:
Based Mixes | Adjective Edits | Element Changes | Extreme Recolors | Based Fakemon | Pixel-Overs

In these tests you must do everything from scratch, using at most visual references:
Scratch Mixes | Scratch Fakemon | Custom Poses | Pixel Art | Isometric Objects | Isometric Scenes | Pixel (Non-Iso) Scenes

You may also post a new topic for the discussion of the inclusion of a new kind of sprite for the possible tests.
[/dohtml]

[dohtml]
Submissions

When submitting your test, you must send your sprites to the same Spriter that gave you the test. You must include no more and no less than:
(1) Your test sprite, the one originally given by the testing Spriter;
(2) Your two most recent sprites, other than the Test;
(3) Your three best sprites, with no time restriction;
(1) Your worst sprite, from the sprites you have made in the last two months.

NOTE: All seven sprites must be different. If they are not, your test will be returned, unvoted upon.

Submitting anything different from the specified above will result in the invalidation and automatic failure of your test.
[/dohtml]

[dohtml]
Updates

Updates may be requested via the Updates topic. These will usually follow a simple format including only your current result (passing or failing), and the current vote count that gives you such result. The comments generally given on tests are not given with the updates.

Note: The order in which pass and fail notes are displayed is not mandatory. Thus, for example, "Pass by 6x4" and "Pass by 4x6" are the same thing, while "Fail by 6x4" is opposite.

Please do not request updates before 24 hours have passed since you submitted to give the Spriter you PMed time to post the poll.
If your poll has not yet been posted when you request an update, please do not request another update until another 24 hours have passed.
[/dohtml]

[dohtml]
Results

Results will be posted in the Results topic, using a format similar to the Updates. However, other than the result (pass or fail) and the exact vote count you received, you will also receive general comments on how you did, such as the main causes of your fail or the few things that can still be improved, even if you passed.

If you passed, you must wait until an Admin updates your user group. This will usually be done shortly, but may take longer if no Admins are available.

If you failed, you must wait two weeks (14 days) before requesting another test. This also holds for auto-fails due to irregular tests.
[/dohtml]
