Every belief has its flaws. Evolution? Humans have been drowning for hundreds of thousands of years yet somehow we do not have gills. I am Catholic, but I only follow the new testament. The old testament is too outdated, mistranslated and literal to be believable. I think that Christianity morals, not necessarily the history or stories, is the best way to go. Don't steal, kill, commit adultery etc. are all good values to live by. Compared to other belief systems this is the best. You may say that it's the same as Jewish rules, but Judaism has like 650 rules to follow, and that's simply just too much and some of them are really stupid (Can only walk 3/4 a km on Sabbath). |
