i think that religion is flat out silly and a waste of my time. obviously i'm atheist, if you couldn't tell by that, but all the religious crud turns into flames and prejudice and creationism and things getting in the way of science and progression. if there's a deity out there, they aren't taking care of the earth too well, and if we don't believe in them, apparently we end up screwed over. pff. better off without it. particularly when, as a born jew, and i say that, people go, 'HOLY MEEP!' like i have an extra head. it's really irritating. and it enters into POLITICAL RACES now, which is absolutely ridiculous. religion is fantasy grown from base fact and turned into a narrow minded set of rules. please insert many or most in front of the word religion to avoid generalization. i also hate how it seems like christianity is taking over the world and is regarded as, in this country, at least where i am, as the only thing out there, because there are so many people who won't look from another angle. T.T atheism is just so much easier, and it makes more sense. |
