Phil I learned a lesson yesterday. My troy bilt took a masive failure. I had 2 berrings fail and you have to take the tine tubes off to get into the tranny. Well if I had read the manual, LOL yea, it says to remove them once a year to clean. Well it took us a full day to get them off. Took lots of heat and a BFH, so this wil be on my winter Pm list for the tiller from now on! In 10 yrs my bill for tines berrings and seals is right at 300. Dang I could have bought a cub for that! LOL I guess thats why they call it PRVENTIVE MANTINACE! |
