Just to make you a little more irritated.
I have 3 44 inch decks
3 of those tillers
and a bunch of new parts for the tillers
Which should I restore first?
Just paint, rust removal, new blades on the mowers, bearings, chains, belts. Which to do first?

Which attachment will you need first?
Show attachments or workers?
Plows and cultivators are easy to do.

If you plan for the attachment to be workers I would clean off the rust and use them as is for now.

Good questions merk!
Which attachment will you need first? Um, tiller, mower, plow and cultivator all at the same time
Workers or show? There is a show in town called the "show and shine" It is generally for cars and bikes, but there is always a first time for a Cub! seems as how a cultivator and plow are easy to do, I probably will make them showy. I will probably peck away at the snowblower over the summer, in my infrequent, scarce, free time.
I have some questions about the tiller
The tiller has quite a bit of slack in the internal chain. should I worry about this or should it last a year? the tiller box has about a half inch of play in it, but the pulleys are fine. Should I try to locate gears for the tiller box? I could rebuild it next winter, but not before tilling season this year.
The deck is not really needed, as the 1650, and our B-414 take care of that job. the 149 got the tiller box reabuilt about 2 years ago, so It does those duties. but there are 3 miles between our gardens, and it needs to work in each garden every two days, so A second tiller tractor would be nice.
I probably will just use tremclad white. Its only 5.49 a can, and It is available locally, and the tractor is painted with it. I will try to hund down some Ez-slide, for the deck, and the snowthrower.
I might get stickers, maybe not. any other advice on restoring attachments?

I take a sanding flap disk on my small grinder and clean the rust off before I plow the first time. Before:

After snading disk was used:

Pic no 5. What is up with your sleeve hitch? it has a adjustment kind of thing sticking up from the sleeve rod?
pic no 4. I don't beleive my eyes! 3 plows in the same pic?! how many you got?
I will have to try that sanding flapper disc method of shining up the plowshare. mine is in rough shape!

6 1/2? one sitting in peices? thats a lot of plows. Do you have enough tractors and hitches to tow them all at the same time? I only got one hitch and one plow, so I'm good.

I don't have 6 1/2 plows....I have 7 1/2 plows. I was over at my Parent's house today and saw one of my plows. The half plow is an extra bottom. I've been buying old plows that need fixed and selling them after repairs are done.

I have only 3 Cubs that plow right now. The 70 that I'm working now will be set up to plow.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
