Nothing real radical here but I think this little addition is going to double the usfulness of my super. I can now tow any garden type cart and anything that uses a 2" ball or a pintle.

Not at the moment . I have the bottom of this one bolted to the factory plate. All i have to do is make a flat bar bracket to mount in there as well. Didnt think about it when i was building it. But usually i just use the 149 if i need to use the lower hitch.

Skip, at the risk of showing my stupidity, what is the new thing you had made for your sleeve hitch? What would it be used for?
Thanks,
Jason

Here's a hitch, that was on my 128. You could pull your cart, or trailer, without having to take the Brinly adaptor off.

Showing stupidy? No such thing in a question. But to answer your question, I back up to a dead cub and pull the hydro lever on my 129 and rase the front end and drag it to the shop. The small channel is to keep it from sliding out. Works real well if the tractor has a mule drive on it.

I must say I'm a little suprised how much activity this thread generated. That's a beautiful thing. American ingenuity is alive and well on this board. Great work and keep 'em coming.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
