Posts: 224 Group: Members Member #99 Joined: July 29, 2007	When I get finished with the 102 project that Im doing now ,I think I will rest awhile from tractors. just play with with what I have at this point. If I was to run across a original like the one that John has , I could change my mind. :ROTF1 I might post pics of the custom 102 in a few days after I get the mower deck finished and working. I hesitate posting pics of this one on a forum thats so devoted to original Cub Cadets. It is way out of the collector line. My grandkids will like it.

Posts: 481 Group: Members Member #133 Joined: September 28, 2007	Excellent job on the customs guys!!!! :thumbsup Well I'm guessing this counts as custom. If not go ahead and remove it. It's the wheel bolts that we installed on the rear axle hubs. It makes it much easier to install the wheels back onto the cub. Especially when you're using big tires.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
