Can't wait to plow up my garden this year with the 73, then I'll run the tiller through it with my 1250. First things first though, we'll need to get the winter over with and the snow plow and snowthrower put away. Jason

I started my seeds indoors last night. Might be a bit early, but this is new to me, so I wanted to try it out and correct any mistakes I might make.

Anyone else start your own seeds?

IAFarmer,
I started a bunch of seeds a few years ago here indoors but Id say 90% failure when moved outside.I didnt acclimate them real good when mooved out and the heat torched them.
I start all planting outside now and all by seed,The tempature swings are extreme and even though Ive had success in the past starting indoors,I dont have the patience to aclimate them.seems the plants started by seed in the garden do way better than even the plants already started in the nursery.

I remember the joy of living in Zone 9, as I lived up in Hanford CA for 5 years. Had a garden almost all year! Heck, the leaves would fall off of the tree and new buds were there the next day.

It's a great state, if you can ignore the politics.

67 Hydro,

I am going to start seeds in the garden as well, as I have plenty to go around for as small a space as I have. Most of my yard is trees, so I have to be creative in where I plant.

Patience isn't a virtue of mine either, so I would suspect my loss rate won't be good.

Here is a link to a chart I use for seed starting dates. Find out your last "usual" frost free date and you can then determine when to start seeds and when to transplant.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
