Got home from work today to find all of my brocoli plants eaten to the ground, 3/4 of my peppers snipped off at the stalk, and a 1/3 of my lettuce chewed down!!!! Something was very busy getting a full belly. Only thing they didn't touch were the tomatoes. :Angry Jason |

Well, I sprayed liquid fence around the perimeter of the garden and replanted my broccoli and pepper plants. Next day, all broccoli was gone...I even saw the rabbit in the garden finishing them off! Looks like I'm going to be putting up a fence now!!! They didn't touch anything last year, I just don't get it. Aside from shooting them (I'm on an acre lot with neighbors all around), what do you all do to keep varmints out of your gardens. I want this under control before all the seeds I planted start to pop up. thanks, jason |

You're right Jason!! Fence time. Had the same problem only with deer. Put a 5 foot fence around that they could easily jump. Hung up bars of sap in an old sock about 20 feet apart. Pick up a bottle oc cheapest perfume you can find. Spray soap every couple weeks with it. No problems since!! Rabbits are few and far between around here. Hawks are plentiful!! (and fat!!) :coffee |

I've never had a problem with deer or rabbits, because i have a dog that sleeps outside durring the summer. The only trouble we ever had was when the neighbors cattle got out, and ate, trampled, and fertilized our entire garden shooting rabbits here isnt an issue because we have about 40 acers. and we are the small plot of land in this area Mike |
