Not sure which one just yet. I picked up this Lawn-Boy model 10201 today for 20.00, fella said it'll start but he couldn't keep it running and was at his wits end as to why. pssst here's a hint... the primer bulb is missing along with the entire throttle assembly!!!! Hopefully with some TLC it will turn out to be a decent mower.
I really like L-B's, any other 2 cycle fans out there? :Cheers

Lawn Boy made a good push mower.
Last one I owned went 21 years before it died.
I would check exhaust ports to see if there are plug.
Odds are they are half plug.
Another area to check is the reed valves behind the carb.

Update on the 10201 Lawn-Boy. Got all the missing parts replaced, carb rebuild and CLEANING ,it looked like a hardened coat of varnish inside. :Bash2 Replaced the spark plug and a couple pulls on the rope and it fired up. I put a little MMO in the tank and mowed the lawn with it. It needs a new blade and a couple of other cosmetic items but other than that I've got a pretty decent LB for under a 100.00 bucks total investment. That makes me happy. :roflmao: Now I'm like DYT I want to find a IH Lawn-Boy to restore. :Thumbsup

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
