Who plants a garden?

Bruce,

I think I've been misled by the Bonnie Plant Co. I guess I should contact my lawyer and explain what mental strife and suffering I have had to endure since finding out that my Jalapenos are in fact Banana peppers. Now the question is, are these hot bananas or mild? :BigThink I guess there's only one way to find out... I'll get my son to take a bite :BigEyes :12:

Greg,
Try and find a lawyer that works for peanuts, I'm sure any settlement would be "small potatoes"

But if I had enough "dirt" on these guys then the lawyers wouldn't have a long row to hoe. I'd do it myself but I don't know "beans" about it and would get myself into a real "pickle" :roflmao:

Look what I harvested this morning!!!! the first zuke and ????peppers of the season

Posted Image

I decided that I would be the first to test the peppers to see if they are hot or mild so I eat the smallest one, and about two bites into it :BigEyes!!!! I had to drink about a half of a gallon of milk, used about half a box of Kleenex to try to regain control! I don't know what those dang things are but they are scorchers and that was about a half hour ago and my bottom lip tongue still feels raw! They are way hotter than any Jalapeno I've ever eaten and I thought the hot banana peppers were milder than Jalapenos. If anyone has any ideas as to what kind of monsters I've got growing please let me know.

I've never grown banana peppers but my experience with jalapenos is that the smaller they are, the hotter they are. They seem to mellow with age, especially if you leave them on the stem until they are red.

Greg,

That little taste test had me rolling in the floor! I could just picture you taking that second bite and the heat kicking in... :ExtremeFun

I'm gonna do another pepper test today  This time I'm going to remove the seeds and see if the heat drops. In my experience with Jalapenos most all of the heat resides in the seeds and I'm assuming it will be the same with the xxx peppers, at least I hope so :praying: We have a fresh gallon of milk and a roll of paper towels just in case. :Thumbsup

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
