Putting up a fence around my garden that would be high enough to keep out the deer would get quite costly. Heres a shot of my garden from last year. |

I do manage to harvest a few crops from my small gardens, but sweet corn , peas and green bean seem to be the favorite foods in the gardens for the deer, at least around here anyhow. |

Well our garden ain't all that big but it's all I care to take care of. Mainly grow tomatoes, peppers, squash, sweet potatoes, cukes and zucs. We're trying some Yukon Gold potatoes this year and hopefully I can find some Mr. Stripey tomato plants for my daughter. I put up a section of hog panel to stake the tomatoes to and got a discount on a bent up panel (the maters will never know it's not straight, LOL)![]()

Went out to check on the Potatoes I planter a couple weeks ago, so far only 3 plants have emmerged, but its only been 2 weeks. Also last Sunday I planted my sweet corn patch (aka deer food plot), only 12 rows planted. 12 rows times 186 feet per row of corn. Hopefuly I will get at least 2 dozen ears of corn befor the deer and racoon get their fill. |
