Building a 1776 and was looking at options to install a remote oil filter and oil cooler, I see some of the full flow set ups have one outlet coming out of the pump cover which means you have to drill and tap the case for the return or some have both the inlet and outlet passages in the cover. Is there any advantage of one over the other? - Mike |

If your case is still in the construction phase then full flow is the way to go by drilling and taping the oil passage below the distributor and use a high voume single outlet pump. If your case is already together I suggest an filter pump (filter housing and pump all in one). I've been told by several sources that the oil pumps that both inlet and outlet on the cover are too restrictive for street use. |

I've been using an in-n-out oil pump in my 1776 for over 10 years now. So far so good. When I bought my motor from Bergmann many years ago I got that instead of a full flowed case and have been running it ever since. |

Thanks for the input, I think I will go with the single outlet since my case is still in pieces. |
