Intermittent Stutter

I have a 78 super beetle with stock engine with the fuel injection. Lately I have noticed a brief stutter in the engine at highway speeds. It does not make any difference if I am going up a hill, down or just on flat road. May happen once or twice an hour or not at all. The points, condenser and plugs were changed a couple of hundred miles ago. The fuel filter is new. The car starts easy and idles fine. Replaced the double relay last summer.

Any ideas???

Pulled everything off from the throttle body, check all the rubber parts for leaks or cracks and did not find anything there. The only thing I found was the thermal time switch which gives signal to the cold start valve was loose. I really do not think that was it but I cleaned up the threads and connector and re-installed it. I will take the car out for a ride this weekend to see if anything changes.

Well I guess cleaning up the threads on the thermal time switch and making sure it was tight and making a good ground fixed the problem. We have drove the wheels off the bug the last couple of weeks and it has not had the stutter problem. I like cheap fixes........
