Anyone have an idea what this plug is for and where it connects? I have a 78 Super Beetle Fuel Injected, the wire comes from between the fire wall and fan shroud. I have had the car for about 2 years and have not been able to figure this thing out. Thanks, Mike

i think thats a left handed magappilator... which worked the dyphenhydrominator... which kept the amount of exhaust going into the cab just enough to creat the frosted efect on the bottom of the window... but i could be wrong... mike :ph43r: |

Unless its some FI stuff it looks almost like the plug that goes on the sensor for the factory timing setup that reads off flywheel. |

Any idea where to look for the timing sensor?, is it accessable without pulling the engine or having double articulated elbows and wrists? I guess I will pull out the manual this evening when I get home to see if I can locate it. Thing is that the bug runs fine without this being connected. - Mike |

its not required for the car to run properly IF that is what it is, it is on the pass side of the engine case next to the mounting nut, there is a hole, where the sensor should be, part of VWs diagnostics setup. BUT like i said IF that is what it is. |
