Neva closes her eyes for a moment, trying not to let angry tears at the situation fall. She leans over and places an arm around him, leaving Kyra sat on her lap as she wipes away his tears. "You will. I promise you. It may seem difficult now. But if you give in now you've already lost the battle. If you don't accept the limitations it presents, you WILL prevail. You know me. I'm always right" she finishes her heartfelt speach with a small laugh, hoping to see his warm, comical side again. She really needed to see it again. |

Greg let a small smile grace his face. "I know you're always right but... I just feel like a baby. I can't do anything without needing help and it..." He hesitated slightly, trying to find the words to describe it but barely coming to anything. "...it hurts." He said quietly. |

Neva gives Greg a big hug, pulling away from him as Kyra attemots to break free from her mother's grip. "Mommy!!!!" she whines, frustrated. She was only able to say individual words at the moment, but it was enough for Neva to understand. She smiles, giving the girl a small kiss before placing her back in her play pen. "Just accept the help that's offered now and before you know it, you won't need it anymore. You're already a master with that cane.....and quite dashing with it I might add" she beams, flashing her prize winning grin at him. |

Greg was thankful for the hug, it was one thing that his leg couldn't stop him doing. He listened to her try and be positive and he was thankful for it, if she was as negative as he was then he would surely not be able to pull himself out of this dark hole he was digging himself. he let a small smile pass, "Maybe." He shrugged, not trying to totally agree with her yet not being negative about it all again. |

Neva, although it wasn't complete agreement, was hearted by the reply she recieved. She knew that for him to be positive she had to be too. But then again, she couldn't help but wonder who would be there to help her deal with her own pain. She didn't want to burden Greg, knowing that he would feel the loss too. But he hadn't carried the child, felt the warmth of life growing within him. So, as usual, she would bottle it up. It was what she did best anyway. |

Greg gave a loud sigh as though he was blowing away all the negativity. He didn't want to spend his entire holiday moaping about his leg, then again what else could he do? The answer to that question came when his stomach rumbled uncomfortably. "Did we bring anything to eat?" He asked curiously, realising he hadn't eaten since... ages. |

Neva smirks as Greg asks about food, knowing that was only a good sign. When all else failed, he'd rely on his stomach to cheer him up. Removing her nose stud, it returning back to its wand form, she conjures whatever food she knew he liked, which in all honesty could have been anything that wasn't green. She turns her wand back into a stud and places it back in her nose before reaching over and handing Kyra a cheese sandwich. Knowing that Greg would only have a go at her if she didn't eat, she takes the tub of tofu salad and a fork and begins to eat, watching Kyra so she wouldn't try and be smart and add sand to her sandwich. |

Greg smiled as Neva conjured up food for him, he broke into a packet of salt and vinegar crisp and a couple of butties. He muched away, his food craving stomach nodding it's appreciation in the form of a loud burp. He laughed slightly, eating always made him feel better, he was suprised that he wasn't overweight by the amount of food he would have to consume to keep himself happy all the time. But his job would keep him on his toes... well, it used too, now that would be a little more difficult. He watched Neva eating, he got the sense that she was only eating because she had to but he appreciated it all the same, he didn't want to be worrying about if she was eating right. |

Neva bites her lip, noting the quietness around her. It was really quite depressing. "We need some music" she muses, removing her nose stud aka wand from her nose yet again. She conjures a muggle CD player out of thin air, the songs she wanted already programmed into one of the stations. With her wand she brings it to life, beaming as her favourite muggle band, R.E.M., begin to play. She sings along to the music as she eats, noting how much brighter Greg seemed with a mouth full. |

Greg hadn't really noticed the silence that enclosed them, not until Neva had mentioned it. Now he thought about it, the sound of the water was calming, but also eerie at the same time. They did need some music. As Neva used her wand to make a CD player and put on some of her favorite tunes he continued to tuck into the food. R.E.M not being one of his best bands, yet still liking them all the same. A smile crossed his lips as he watched Neva singing along to the music, her voice always calmed him down and made him feel better. |

Neva, although she hadn't intended to, couldn't help but notice that the music had brightened Greg up a little. It was wonderful to see him with a smile on his face, maybe even if it was just for her expense. She returns his smile, placing her salad to the side, not really having the taste for it anymore. Instead, she reaches for the most calorie laden Doughnut she could find on the pile and begins to nibble on it, knowing that Greg would eat them all himself if he had the chance. |

Greg couldn't help but chuckle quietly as Neva took up a doughnut. "Not your usual meal." He smiled, picking up a doughnut of his own and unlike Neva, stuffed it almost whole into his mouth. |

Neva shrugs, chuckling lightly as Greg stuffs his own doughnut almost completely into his mouth. "Fuck it. I'm hungry" she smirks, watching with a rather bemused expression as Kyra begins to add sand to her half eaten sandwhich, just as she suspected she would. She swoops and takes hold of the sandwich just as she places it to her lips again. "Oh no ya don't" she snorts, throwing the sandwich to a gaggle of Birds before handing the girl a cream filled doughnut. |

Greg laughed softly as Kyra decided to make herself a sand sandwich. "Very tasty." He chuckled as Neva threw it away. He exhaled loudly, looking up at the blue skies dotted with the odd white cloud here and there. It was a lovely place and the only thing that seemed to be stopping him enjoing himself really was his leg. He thought however, he thought about why it really mattered. Sure it was hard to walk and he couldn't swim anymore, but why should he let that stop him enjoying a day on the beach with his family? He shouldn't and he wouldn't let it. The last lingering thoughts of sorrow and sadness were swept away, he was going to enjoy himself here with Kyra and Neva if it was the last thing he did. |

Neva smirks as she throws her half eaten doughnut to the birds before sliding back onto her towel. She really did need to work on topping up her tan. Although she had naturally olive skin she still preferred to go through the motions. She lays down on the towel, closing her eyes as peace washes over her. She could feel the air change dramatically around Greg. Maybe he was happier. She sincerely hoped so, he really needed to smile. He looked so handsome when he did so. Not enturely sure why, Neva moves her hand to the side, still laying motionless. She reaches towards Greg's leg and places her hand down his pants, rubbing her hand along the mangled flesh. Maybe she was just subconsciously showing him that she wasn't at all put off by the scars. |

Greg watched Neva lie down and got himself more comfortable in the sand, what surpised him though was when she put her hand down his pants and rubbed her hand along his leg. He tensed up ever so slightly, the last time anybody had been down there he had lost his manhood, but there was something about how she didn't seem deterred by the mangled flesh. It made him feel better, maybe if she wasn't scared of it, then he didn't have to be. |

Neva could tell that she had made Greg a little uncomfortable with her bold gesture, and so removes her hand again. She knew that he shouldn't feel self conscious about his scars, much like she shouldn't be self conscious about her own. It wasn't as if they made them bad people. Just experienced. She smiles to herself before placing her hand over her eyes so they wouldn't be damaged by the sun. |

Greg was both slightly releived and upset as Neva took her hand away. Subconciously he was letting out a relieved sigh, that part of his mind still stuck with Eliza and her weapons of torture. In his conciousness however he was slightly upset, he didn't want to feel like he was pushing Neva away. Carefully he inched closer to her and took hold of the hand that wasn't sheilding her eyes. |

Neva was a little shocked as her hand was taken, not at all expecting the touch. But she smiles all the same, knowing that each touch meant that he was healing. At least even just a little. She hated seeing him so bruised and broken, even if a part of her was the same. She just hid the ruins as per usual, not wishing to bother Greg as he had his own cross to bear. She wasn't entirely what to say to him and so rubs his hand gently with her thumb, Kyra breaking the silence for them as she watches her parents. "Cuggle!" she exclaims, holding her arms out to Greg. |

Greg laughed softly, picking the girl up and bringing her into an exaggerated hug. "Cuggle!" he replied to her shout, wrapping the little girl in his arms. After a moment of cuggling, he let go, handing her over to her mother. "Are you going to give mummy a cuggle too?" He asked. |

Neva can't help but laugh as Greg pulls Kyra into a tight hug, the act looking incredibly juvenile yet sweet at the same time. She takes hols of Kyra as she is handed to her, and is promptly engulfed in a hug, beamiing proudly as she copies Greg's exclamation. After a moment or two, she sits back up and crosses her legs, the little girl sittiing in her open lap like it was a chair. Neva beginms to braid the girl's hair absently as the girl traces her finger across a patterned tattoo on her leg. |

Letting Kyra move onto hugging her mother, Greg leant back into the sand and let the sun wash over him. His gaze remained on Neva and Kyra, his two girls. He smiled softly as he watched them together, it was almost hypnotic to him. Slowly, the sun’s bright rays and his general tiredness coupled together to send Greg into a light sleep. |

Neva smiles softly as she looks over at Greg, seeing that he had slipped into sleep. That was good. He was well overdue for a good, peaceful sleep, and so Neva wasn't about to move him anytime soon. She hugs Kyra to her as she stands up, placing the little girl onto her feet on the ground. She leads her over to the water and allows her to paddle in the shallow depths, the little girl giggling madly as she kicks away at the water. |

Greg awoke not too much later, his eyes opened to the sight of a desolate beach. He raised his head, spotting Neva and Kyra in the water he smiled softly to himself. He sat himself up and watched them playing in the water. There was a hint of jealousy in his gaze, he wanted to be playing in the glistening liquid but he was scared that his leg would fail him once again and he would look pretty pathetic to both Neva and Kyra. With that, he decided to stick to the beach, watching them play as he lounged in the sunlight. |

Neva can't help but laugh softly as Kyra spots a Starfish on the bech, just freshly washed up. The little girl bends down and picks the creature up, studying it for a moment until it moves, promptly causing her to throw it back down, looking exceptionally scared by it. "Mommy!!!!" she sobs, turning around and clinging hold of Neva's leg. "It's okay sweetie. It's only a Fishie" she chortles, prising the girl off of her leg. She couldn't help but wish that Greg would try standing again, so he could join in the fun. She didn't like the fact that he was making himself feel left out by merely watching them. |
