Just off from the main poisoning ward, a large open ward has been set aside for general injuries and ilnesses, mainly muggle wounds and problems that do not fall into any of the magical categories. This ward has been set out with many beds along each side with a curtain that can be pulled around for privacy. A large cupboard is at the far end of the ward containing potions and medicines of varying kinds. |

Greg floated Neva and Kyra into the ward and placed them together on a bed, lying Kyra next to her mother. He quickly hurried to the end of the ward and came back a few moments later with a potion and a wad of cotton wool. Pulling the curtains around the bed he wet the cotton wool with the potion and dabbed it on all their cuts, each one making a small hissing noise before the skin seemingly melted back together again. Once he was satisfied both were okay, he sat down on a chair next to the bed and placed his head in his hands, staring depressedly at the floor. |

Kyra, being somewhat confused as to why she had gone to sleep when she saw the shiny red liquid. Slowly begins to stir, rubbing her large hazel eyes with her small fists as she wriggles on the bed. She could feel that her wrists and elbows were stiff, making it a little hard for her to move. Noting this, she slowly begins to cry softly, hoping to get the attention of Greg beside her. She knew him to be a kind man, having spent a lot of time with him and mummy. Neva, although she was perfectly aware of what was happening around her, couldn't quite bring herself to become fully conscious. Her stomach jarred a little, the throbbing worrying her greatly. She had felt the same pain before she began to suffer from the pre-eclampsia that had plagued her last pregnancy. As she lay seemingly unconscious, she could do nought but hope she was wrong. Something told her that her child was still alive, her having been frightened that it wouldn't make it after she was stabbed. |

Greg slowly realised Kyra was crying and he reached up, pulling the little girl into his arms and cradling her softly. "Shh." He whispered. "Your mummy will be awake soon, until then uncle Greg is here." He said, trying to calm the poor girl down. |

Kyra's sobs slow down into muffled snuffles as Greg cradles her. She absently begins to suck her thumb as she occupied herself by fiddling with a button on Greg's shirt, her eyes teary and bright. Neva winces slightly as she slowly begins to open her eyes, clamping them shut again as the light offends them greatly. It felt as though a amrching band were practicing inside her head, making her feel incredibly neauseas. Taking a few deep breaths, she opens one eye a fraction, craning her neck ever so slightly to turn around and face Greg and Kyra. "Owww my head" she groans in barely a whisper. A hand reaching up to massage her temple. |

Greg looked up as Neva awoke, with a flick of his wand he attempted to heal some of the pain in her head. "That should be better." He said quietly, looking back down at Kyra who was playing with his shirt. He wasn't sure what he could say, he could be angry at Tyler or Felicity, he could be guilty for not being there, he could be healery and ask her how she was feeling, he could be husbandly and say he was there for her. But feeling all those at the same time was overwhelming and he satisfied for just staying quiet. |

Neva couldn't help but notice how silent Greg was being. She didn't blame him for it. She herself had always been hard pushed when it came to bringing the personal and professional together. She wasn't particularly enjoying laying on the bed, feeling useless, so she attampt to use her elbows to help her sit up in bed, using the pillows for support. She ceases however as a sharp pain shoots through her stomach, and she collapses back into the bed with a soft yelp. As she was sitting up, she couldn't help but notice the small smattering of blood on the sheets, just where she sat. That was strange. Was it to do with the cuts and wounds she had sustained? She felt sick however when another idea dawned on her. No. That wasn't it. It couldn't be. ooc: And thus pre-eclampsia rears its ugly head again *Pokeths trauma* |

Greg looked up as Neva attempted to sit up, his eyes were drawn to the blood on the sheets. At first he thought that it was from her injuries, but on second thought he realised she had no cuts there, there should be no more blood. Then the thought of an explanation dawned on him. "Don't worry Neva." He muttered quietly, discretely pulling out a set of blue stones from underneath the bed. "I just want to check our baby is alright." He muttered again, lifting up Neva's top just enough and placing them on the woman's stomach. After a few moments he took them off and headed to the end of the ward, placing them on the brass scales and waited for the readings. |

Neva was lost for words as Kyra was placed beside her again so she could be examined. She felt a little sick and it had nothing to do with her injuries. She closes her eyes momentarily, the coldness of the stone on her bare skin nothing compared to the coldness that had overcome her when she saw the blood. Her heart sank like a stone as Greg walked to the end of the ward, the silence painful to her. |

Greg returned a few moments later biting his lip. He sat back down next to Neva and took a deep breath. It was hard enough breaking bad news to patients without them meaning all the world to him. "You know when we first met, you were pregnant with Kyra and I diagnosed you with pre-eclampsia?" His voice became slightly shaky now as he spoke. "Well, because of the trauma from Tyler theres a high likelyhood th-that it's back." His hand inched forwards and took hold of her's, his fingers caressing her soft skin comfortingly. |

Neva bites her lips softly as Greg walks back over to her. As he looks almost ghostly in thought, she attempts to sit up again, her stomach feeling as though it would tear in half as she finally succeeds, landing with a dull thud into the pillows. Her eyes widen a little when he explains to her the situation, her thoughts drifting back to her conversation with Julian in the broom cupboard. That pregnancy had almost killed her. It wasn't fair that she would have to go through it again. She didn't know what to say, simply watching his hand snake towards hers and caress it gently. |

Greg didn't know of anything else to do other than to reassure her, though inside he was weeping for Neva, for his child, but outside he remained calm. "I'll be there for you." He said quietly, his voice barely a whisper. "Always." |

Neva didn't have to be reassured that Greg would be there. She knew he would. The way their relationship began was proof enough of how much it could withstand. "I know you will" she manages a weak smile, rubbing his hand gently with her thumb. Kyra had fallen asleep by the side of her, having seemingly been calmed by the presence of what she constituted her parents. |

Greg nodded slowly as she said that she knew he would be. He would never leave her side, metaphorically of course. They had been through a lot and had always come out of it. "It'll be alright." He assured her, his hand still stroking her's comfortingly. |

Neva, her eyes having travelled to Kyra as she lay sleeping by her side, bites her lip softly, a small thought bubbling to the surface. She had been wondering about it since they had officially gotten together. And she wanted something desperately to distract them from their worries. She strokes the little girl's head softly as she sucks on her thumb, her eyes locking on hers instead of looking at Greg. "I was thinking....what would you say to adopting Kyra? That way you really would be her father" she explains absently, hoping he wouldn't shoot her down. ooc: Where is the huggle? Rofl. |

Greg let the impact of her words sink in. "Adopt... Kyra?" He repeated, wanting to double check that was what she said. His thoughts on the idea were chaotic. He was yearning for the little girl to have a decent father in her life, but was he the one who deserved it? "Wha...what about Julian?" he asked, sure that Kyra's REAL father would have something to say about him pretty much replacing the man in almost every way to Neva, and the man's daughter. |

Neva shakes her head softly, not allowing thoughts of Julian to enter her mind for anything longer than a second. She covers the little girl's ears before she says something she may regret. "Fuck Julian. Kyra's seen Ghosts more times than she's seen her own father. Come to think of it, since she was born it seems to be the same with me. I want her to have a father who cares about her and will love her no matter what" she explains. |

Greg looked almost pleadingly with Neva for a moment but the face melted into a soft smile and he nodded serenely. "Okay." He said quietly. "I'll adopt her, for you, AND for Kyra." The weight of what he was undertaking didn't quite hit him yet. He was going to be a father, to two children. He would never have believed it before he met Neva. |

Neva couldn't help but break into a beaming smile, regardless of what she had just discovered. It would be okay. Kyra was proof of that. "She leans in closer to Kyra and plants a a soft kiss on her forehead before whispering to her. "You hear that sweetie? You're gonna have a daddy" she simpers, hoping she wasn't burdening Greg. But something told her that she wasn't. He was a loving man, and had more or less taken Kyra on as his own long before the title was offered to him. ooc: <333333333 Bless him <333333333 |

Greg almost felt embarrased as Neva explaimed to Kyra that he was going to be her daddy. The title still didn't feel right, even after knowing that he was foinf to be a father for quite some time now. He looked away and occupied himself by looking nonchalantly around the room. |

Neva could tell that Greg's mind was elsewhere as he began to look away. She bites her lip softly, lifting a hand and placing it on his shoulder. "It'll be okay. I found the idea of being a parent scary at first. Now I wouldn't trade it for the world." she explains, hoping against hope that it would be the same for Greg. Although something told her that as soon as he was to set eyes on his newborn child, all that fear would melt away into unconditional love. |

Greg's eyes focused on Neva. "Maybe you're right." He said lightly, not completely sure but Neva's wisodom had never failed him before. She probably was right, his mind agreed but he would never completely trust another's judgement and he only trusted his a little more than he did others'. |

Neva knew that there was no maybe about it, but she knew better than to argue her point. It would come with time, like it had done with her. She wasn't sure that anything as small as a babygro would trigger anything more than nerves and awe within him but maybe something else would help. A fully formed scan, finding out the sex, maybe even birth itself. But she knew he would find it. After all, he loved Kyra when at first he had no obligation to do so. What would be different apart from the fact that this would be his own flesh and blood? Wilson, having overseen Kat waking up, hurries into the general ward. He walks over to where Neva was sat cradling Kyra with Greg by her side. "I thought you'd like to know that Kat is awake and appears to be on the mend" He declares triumphantly, chancing a glance at Neva. "Do you mind if I borrow this?" he asks, striding over to her bed. Neva has no time to object before she is helped to her feet, Kyra taken from her and placed in Greg's care again. "I'll return it undamaged. Don't worry" he chortles before walking out of the ward with her. |

Greg levitated Oliver onto one of the beds and began working on the internal injuries with the instruments that lay in the various cupboards and surgical trays that were dotted around the room. He hooked the man up to a blood replenishing potion before fixing up the rest of the flesh wounds. The man looked almost as good as new although it would take some recovery before he was so. |
