The Fachkundig Library is the library of Weisheit. It was designed by Kondik Furter in 1676 and completed in 1695. It is credited as being one of the first libraries to be built with large windows to give comfortable light levels to aid readers.

The library is a single large room built over an open colonnade on the ground floor of Mikash's Court. The floor of the library proper within the upper storey lies several feet below the external division between the two storeys, reconciling the demands of use with the harmony of architectural proportion. This device prefigures the inner, middle and outer domes at St Paul's Cathedral.

The book stacks are arranged in rows perpendicular to the walls under the intervals between the windows. At the end of each stack is a fine limewood carving by Grinling Gibbons, and above these are plaster cast busts of notable writers through the ages. Other marble busts standing on plinths depict notable member of the college and are mostly carved by Louis-François Roubiliac. A later addition is a full size statue of Lord Byron carved by Bertel Thorvaldsen, originally offered to Westminster Abbey for inclusion in Poets' Corner, but refused due to the poet's reputation for immorality.

Damien held the door open for Celeste as they walked into the library. Breathing in the smell of books as he looked around taking in the room. A small smile set at the corner of his mouth.

Nodding her silent thanks, Celeste entered the library as Damien held the door open for her. Walking further into the room to take in their surroundings, she chanced a glance back and was curious as to the smile she saw faintly grace her companions face. urning back she approached the stacks to explore the titles.

Damien was still busy looking about the room and didn't notice Celeste look at him. He moved to one of the many different stack of books and ran his fingers over the titles, seeing nothing that interested him he moved on. Drifting away from Celeste in his search for a book he liked. Time slowly ticking by as he was intrigued by a few titles, not sure which to pick. Occasionally pulling a book down, reading a few lines, and put it back.

Celeste unconsciously worked on the oposite direction as Damien, skiming the tomes as she walked. Contrary to the popular belief of her colleagues and friends, her interests stretched beyond her area of expertise. As she took a few out to look at them a couple caught her eye, but not enough to get her to read.

He must have went through a few rows of books before he found one that really caught his attention. but of course it was way out of his reach. Looking around he spotted a stool and used it to get the book down. Damien smiled before glancing around for Celeste seeing her on the opposite side of the room still looking. He found a comfy couch that was set up and sat down, opening the book and begun to read.

After somemore time of her own, Celeste found a book that looked as if it would hold her interest. Finding herself closer to where Damien had left off, she walked over to the couch where he sat, coming up behind him. Looking over her lover's shoulder to try and make out what he was reading, she slowly came around and sat next to him.

"No, not really. Just something I picked up." He said adding a dull like tone to his book, but the look in his eyes said that he was interested in the book that was open in his hand. "Just something on potions." Damien leaned back to be more comfortable as he gaze fell back to his book.

"Oh...ok," Celeste replied to his answer, curious and half-confused why e would pick it then but let it go. Leaning back with him, her heead partically on his shoulder, she opened her own book andstarts giving it a closer look though.
