This is a paper i did for school Rant Paper By Master of Balance Let’s get started. People’s tendencies really piss me off, because they’re either too stupid to realize them, or they live in a delusional world where they’re right and you are the one who’s delusional. For example, my homeroom teacher over heard me cussing in her room and asked for me to apologize, for what? I’m just being myself, if you wish to throw me out of the classroom for that then be my guest, but it’s not a reason at all. I mean, what am I apologizing to here? The room? Oh, I’m so sorry for cussing in you room, I promise to never do it again. As freaking if, I’m not apologizing to anyone because I said something, there is no good reason for an apology. Another thing that really ticks me off is that there seems to be a proper way to do things, which should have any “way” to do them. Such an example would be my mom. Just a while ago she wanted to see the clothes I was going to wear to the country club. She said that this was because the last time we went there, she saw that my clothes weren’t acceptable, and had to iron them etc. This irked me because this statement was implying that she didn’t trust me. I’ll admit that I’ve done some things in the past that would be considered unsavory to others, but I’m trustworthy!! She also said that if I don’t look good enough, she’s the one who gets scolded by my grandpa. I asked her why she was the one, why didn’t he direct his disappointment towards me. She believed that this was because both she and my grandpa felt that she was responsible for making me look respectable. Another example or this whole “right way” to do things is paper format. One of my teachers has several copies of a book that contains the “proper” format for every type of paper you could imagine. Another one of my teachers took points off of two of my outlines because they weren’t in the “proper” format. So what? There is absolutely no point to that. Further more, why is there even a right way to type up an outline? Why can’t we just type it the way we want to? To have a proper way to write things is to take away almost all of the writer’s style. Give me a freaking break; no one’s responsible for how I look but me. As a matter of fact, no one’s responsible for any of my well being, including how I look. Personally I hate the word “look” when it’s being used in the context of how things look. I think that the only reason we have thing like fashion and other things that give other people the means to judge us. I think that that’s the only basis of clothes, other than not making yourself appear naked in public. It really pisses me off when my mom fusses over how I look, it makes me think that people are going to be judging me based on my clothes, rather than my personality. I mean, if people are going to look at the clothes mostly, than I may as well be invisible. Yet another thing that pisses me off is teachers. Sure when they’re not actually fulfilling their roles as teachers, but rather, as people they’re fun to be around. But when they are fulfilling their role as a teacher, it sucks. One of my teachers is always correcting me when I say something. For example, I said Jesus in an exasperated tone because I was, and she said that was inappropriate. What? Inappropriate? What about saying the name of a religious figure is inappropriate? I never would’ve guessed that she was so religiously conscious. In her defense, she stated that it was my tone that was inappropriate in that situation. B.S., plain and simple. There was nothing wrong there, only what she thought, I did nothing that anyone else wouldn’t have done. I believe that there are two things that are the foundation of all issues. Those two things are perspective and belief. Issues are a product of clashes of multiple opinions, beliefs etc. The thing I hate about this is that almost everyone in my life is trying to force their beliefs on me, or their rules. Such as the teachers, I don’t go to school for them to teach me how to behave, I go to school to be taught math and English. One last thing, people that ask for advice or receive some insight without asking for it, and they don’t listen. When you try and give them something that could better their existence, they dismiss it as ignorant or something that is coming from someone who, in their eyes, doesn’t know what they’re talking about. I’m fed up with it, but I don’t think my situation, or anyone else’s for that matter, won’t change for a loooong time, if not never. We can only hope that the people that cause these issues for us get a clue and knock it off. |
