The northern half of Kaki is the nearest land to the north pole. Being so it is very cold and snows quite often. During the summer the snow only falls once every two or three weeks and the packed snow may melt down to a foot or two but it never completely disappears. The average temp. during this time is 50*F. During the winter the snow may fall up to a week straight; at this time the temperature can drop down to -20*F.

The southern half has more hospitable conditions but it is still snow covered for about 4 months out of the ten month year. During the late spring and early summer the snow melts and the temperature rises to about 60-70* F.
