*MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD*

ok this is my first movie review and i wish i could give it a better score.

the movie starts out good, good action sequence introduces majority of the main characters and a background story with duke and baroness and im like yea this is gonna be awesome movie unlike what the reviews and critics say bout it.

the movie may actually have been on its way to being just about watchable until in the final few scenes it just goes all out to make you fucking hate it! i laughed my ass off on more than one occasion...and not at marlon wayans telling an aircraft he was going to "pop a cap in its ass!" rex turning around to reveal himself as cobra commander has to be one of the funniest moments in cinema history.

ok im just gonna get to the real shit best parts of the movie were snake eyes/storm shadow encounters. there are prob bout ten flashbacks which fill in majority of the blanks but in the end when the day is done the baroness swerve face turn which is total bullshit imo and how cobra looks compared to the original hooded cobra commander blue red head.

2/5 stars, only for Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, and Baroness's rack.
dont waste ur money

Paramount Studios’ vice chairman Rob Moore has told the LA Times that a sequel to G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra is about to go into development.

The cast have all inked deals that require them to appear in the next film, though director Stephen Sommers, who previously was able to launch The Mummy as a franchise, has no such provision in his contract.

No word yet on what the premise of the sequel will be. But as the first movie deals with the rise of Cobra, the organization that stood in opposition to the Joes in both the wildly popular animated show of the 1980s and the related comic book series, there are plenty of possibilities.

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra raked in approximately $100 million dollars worldwide over its opening weekend, even though it has yet to open in other key foreign markets, like Germany and Italy.

$100M, is that good, bad, or average/expected? I still haven't seen the movie yet.

I think whether that is good or bad depends on how much the movie cost, and a good opening weekend doesn't matter as much if it drops off right after that. I think it probably did "pretty good" though.
