Though I remained optimistic on this conflict at first, in that I thought it would end soon, reports are saying it will be still be going on by the time the transition takes place. I'm not too concerned about that part, because I think the new administration can handle it.

What concerns me is the conflict lasting that long. The Gaza strip is not a large piece of land. If they fight there for that long, it is going to be some doozy of a bloodbath.

There alot of political motivations in Israel deciding to invade Gaza at this point, but Hamas ended the ceasefire.

I agree with Gandy. Hamas broke the ceasefire first, Israel's army is just too strong for Hamas to handle and is killing a lot of people very quickly. But the UN broke off supplies to Gaza after the end of the ceasefire too, so criticism has not just come from the US and Israel.

Adding to daily hardships in Gaza, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency UNRWA, which provides food assistance to half of the strip's 1.5 million people, announced on Thursday it had suspended the food distribution until further notice.

Considering what's going on in Syria, I think this is going to be bad
