Firefox Add-ons

With this new Firefox, I'm finally being able to toy around with different settings instead of just relying on defaults. The world of add-ons is now open to me as well. What are some of the must-have add-ons out there for Firefox? My first stop was AdBlocker Plus, something like that. I had an older version of it, but the new one works lots better.

What else should I be adding on to my Firefox?

You don't need greasemonkey unless you are going to be running different scripts on it.

The basic add-ons I put on each new install of firefox (I use Chrome primarily now anyway) are Add-block plus and NoScript. NoScript blocks all java scripts running on a web page unless you allow them to come through. I also install NoFlash. So flash videos won't load unless I allow them- makes tons of websites load much faster.

That brings up another question. One of my downloads from the other day installed Google Chrome. Is that worth looking into at all? I sampled it a little bit, seems okay but I'm too satisfied with my current product to explore any more than I have. If its a substantial upgrade from Firefox (in terms of functionality, presentation, awesomeness, etc), I'll give it a look.

Firefox's "awesome" bar is much, much better than Chrome. There are also way more add-ons for Firefox at the moment. For a power user, I think FireFox is the winner.

But I personally use Chrome exclusively now because it really is much more lightweight. Much snappier and no RAM memory leaks.
