Melee/Brawl. All time most overrated. It's taken that spot from Halo, now. The original had some sort of charm to it, these are like crap, expensive expansion packs. |

That isn't a Nintedo game... Anyway, thinking about it, I'd rather play Halo than GH. |

I had to break the topic point and say it. As for Nintendo games? Pokémon. But yeah, I hate people and guitar hero. I don't say "learn guitar rather than play the game", but it's still a game I fail to see why people love it so much, it's usually full of crap songs (opinion... still...), over-complicated, stuck up itself and I don't like the controllers. |

Aww, damn, that's another contender. While SSB is a mess, Pokémon is designed to be grindtacular. Then again, so is Brawl. Ehh... |

At least a new SSB game comes around every 5 years. We get a ham-fisted poké update every 1 or 2, and it's always the same. |

The fluffy one
|
Guitar hero is a good choice. For a nintendo one, viewtiful Joe. All of them. And one that's close to my heart but not nintendo is Tekken 4. It was the dawn of the new, vegetabalised Jin Kazama fighting style. It was the first game since days of the PS1 versions not to have a side game unrelated to fighting. It had a screwed up tekken force, in that killing different people in different orders could come up and bite you in the arse by throwing 40 extra surprise soldiers at you later (anyone experience in Kazuya's level?). It had fewer characters than the 2 games that preceded it. The controls for the characters have been overcomplicated (especially the afforementioned Jin) to the point where I can't invite my noob friends round so I can put seven shades of colour into their character's faces. Worse than all of this, it dared to mention Ogre/True Ogre without making them playable characters. And whilst I'm on specific characters... TETSSUJIN/MOKUJIN>UNKNOWN>MONKEY URINE>COMBOT. It was also as slow to play as tekken 2, equal graphics to tag (which under normal circumstances, I'd let slip, but since I've got a fancy list going...) and sound effects play late after the action happens. And if you can't be bothered to read that, need more convincing or are interested in playing this game, I have one final point. It has a 70-something year old man in a diaper who you will eventually have no choice but to fight. |

The title of "Most overrated game" is is difficult to decide between OOT and The Sims. I think I have to go with The Sims though. I've never played it with any expansion packs installed, but I really can't see how they could make it that much better. |

Though I havnt actully looked at that many reviews, Mario Kart wii, it was shocking, i am so glad i didnt buy it. It was awful, normally you dont like games because there just plain boring, this actuly put me in a bad mood because it was such a let down. Though gears of war is more over rated (though it aint a nintendo game) |

Oh this is difficult, to choose one most overrated Nintendo game? The possiblities are endless! SSBM/B or Pokemon are the main contenders. Pokemon is not a serious RPG alright, don't try and kid yourself otherwise and just admit it that it's not cool and never will be, just like you. It is grind tastic and I just don't like it as it's a very dull world, very unimersive, the little chirpy noises made are painfull and I always played it with the sound off and it has the depth of a paddling pool compared to other RPGs. EDIT: Also who doesn't like Viewtiful Joe?! X-( |

Overall, I'd say Halo 3. As far as Nintendo games go, hmmm... Any Mario or Zelda game over the past couple of years (excluding Galaxy and Phantom Hourglass). Animal Crossing games. Pokemon games after the first one. Not Brawl, the series hasn't gotten stale... yet... I'm sure there's more though... |
