i have the 5th generation ipod 80gb classic and im using a toshiba laptop my ipod came up with the low battery connect to power screen so i thought no probs so i went to pug it in to my comp and nothing happens i tryed reinstalling itunes and plugging it in to each diffrent usb port and used 2 diffrent cabels nothing worked so i went on the apple site and looked for help i followed diffrent steps and nothing is working! then i plugged it in and went into device manager and it comes up as unknown device and when i plug it into my computer it reconises something is connected but comes up as "one of the usb devices attached to the computer has malfunctions and windows does not reconise it" and i double click it and under device status it says no drivers are installed for this device so now i dont havw a clue what to do! i tryed in on my sisters laptop and it came up with the same thing but my sisters worked fine soooo my dads planning on taking it back unless anyone knows whats gunna fix it?! please it willl be going back first thing in the morning so any help tonight will be greatly appreicated! |

I've had two iPods break three times, I think I can help. Sort of. Charge up the iPod (if you can). Then see if it will turn on and play music. If it can't play music and still can't connect, listen to it closely and see if you can hear it doing something. If it is doing something wait until it uses up all the power and try charge it and plug it in etc. again. If any of that doesn't work it's broken, get a different brand. That's what I did. ;) |
