Obviously no one payed attention to that part. The poll went for a reason, and it won. So come up with ideas here as to what the link appearance should look like. ^_^ |

Make them re-size when the cursor rolls over them. |

We already did change them. Well, I changed hover to a nasty orange and Cieran beat me with stick. Then we ended up making them underline as well as the usual colour change. You change this:... a:link, a:visited, a:active { text-decoration: none; color: #191970 } - This is the link before you do anything to it, and after you've clicked it. a:hover { text-decoration: underline; color: #8383B2; } - This is the link whilst your mouse pointer is over it. ...with certain attributes such as: - Hex colour codes for both normal and hover. use this site to get hex codes from a colour palette. Then add ' color: #8383B2; ' to the required text decoration area. - Bold by adding ' bold; ' to the required text decoration area. - Underlines by adding ' underline; ' to the required text decoration area. - Overlines by adding ' overline; ' to the required text decoration area. - Changing sizes of links by adding ' font-size:xx; ' where x is a number to the required text decoration area. - Highlighting links by adding ' background: #xxxxxx; ' where xxxxxx is hexidecimal code, to the required text decoration area. So an example of changed links would be: a:link, a:visited, a:active { text-decoration: underlined; color: #191970 } a:hover { text-decoration: overline; bold; color: #8383B2; } If you have managed to follow that little guide, you can make and post your own using a good colour scheme that fits with the board, then I'll put it in the CSS to have a test. Current style back up a:link, a:visited, a:active { text-decoration: none; color: #191970 } a:hover { text-decoration: underline; color: #8383B2; } |

I dislike the grey thing happening now, how about colouring them the same colour as Cierans name? |

Done. The only downside is it highlights the backgrounds of images.. That and this blue is ugly ^.^ |

cant you like, change the actual text and not the background colour. If not I don't think this is going to work. |

Same... still, any more suggestions, go for it, the original is saved in loads of places, and the current is a:link, a:visited, a:active { text-decoration: none; color: #191970 } a:hover { text-decoration: underline; color: #0000FC; } |

oooo Why make it so only when you hover over them? you could still not notice them 'cause not everyone hovers over text as they read :8} |

Yeah, this new colour is too bright. I liked it before, with just the underline and lighter colour... |

Hmm, that does sound like the sensible option if colour is a concern for you. Or make it go the same colour as the skin, so that it becomes invisible. |

The hover colour is perfect, especially with the underline too. But we're still left with hte actual reason why I started the poll: when the links are not active or hovered, they need to be visible in posts. Otherwise you won't know where they are to hover/activate them! |
