She thinks they've forgotten about it. Yeah right. If they spent two hours a day since November, they won't forget when its gone. They'll remember. And hate their mother. Heck, where is the father in all of this?

Heck, where is the father in all of this?

I thought that too, he wasn't mentioned.
Probably because he's the only smart adult in the family.

Myabe she's a single mum which I'm sure in the Mails traditionalist values is something that is evil :| or perhaps I'm mistaken for another extreme right wing British propaganda paper.

Heh.

No, I rekon he became an hero.

JUST TO ESCAPE!

Sorry, I'm doing what I hate and drifting into off-topicsville.

I dunno where he is. But she seemed to run her house like a regime, which is bad enough, IMO.

He died how he lived, in a noisy car.
I can't be bothered to state my opinions at it'll be just the same as anyone else's here so I've summerised the jist of it below.

Blah blah, dail mail sh!t, blah blah, terrible parent, blah blah, no common sense or rationaly human thought, blah, SPAWN OF SATAN! blah.

What idiot parents thinks that their children will happily share a single games console between the 4 of them? Maybe then we could solve world hunger and cure evil and then ride a little three seater magic carpet to the king of the potato people? And her means for buying are totally selfish, buying material objects to apease ones children is the very deffinanition of lazy ass parenting.

I wonder... I wonder if this is a compensated article from failure to find the "Games made me turn to crime" story, so instead they put out a "Games turned my brats into demons" story. Or maybe this is the forerunning article?

If you "managed"* to send to a comment through, then you would have to wait hours or till the next day because of the whole moderating process.
And they technically can post what you said but in an edited format so they might make you sound like you are supporter of them.
* Provided you haven't come across against a "mysterious" fault. ;)

I'm going to have some fun I think if it lets me. ;/

EDIT: Sent a comment I wonder if it will get published. :8}

I don't see how she hoped that she could solve her problems over 4 children by giving them 1 DS. It's really like giving 4 starving people an apple to share between themselves equally. And for the comments, she wrote the article so maybe they wont publish anything bad about it? She also mentions two child experts and she seems to be listening and doing what they are telling people too, instead of making her own mind up about it, only she knows her children and what they'd be like with it. And of course, she caved in on 'I won't fit in at School'. Wow. And the title of the article is overused, I see it on every Nintendo hating thing. I'm playing my Nintendo DS right now...

I don't see the point of getting offended by this article. Just a lowly mother who gave 1 DS between her 4 children, things went wrong, she took it off them, it was the right decision, and now she has a biased view against gaming. Heck, who wouldn't have a biased view if their children went out of control over the DS they bought them? And we also have a biased view that games can't do any bad to us, because we play them on a regular basis. Anyway, so what if it gives gaming a bad name? It isn't exactly going to completely stop games being sold to us.

If you're not an only child, then that's feasable.

I wrote this:

She mentions child experts and she seems to be listening and doing what they are telling people to instead of making her own mind up about it, only she knows her children and what they'd be like with it. Yes, sure, they are supposedly experts, but they obviously don't know her children personally, and it is just based on the average child. Most of the time, the only people that are submitted into surveys and such are the children where it has gone badly. I would liken this to giving four starving people an apple, and hoping that they would share it out equally. It just simply will not happen. She has even said that she wanted it to be some-what educational and not things like football? It is a games console, it is not meant to be too educational, it is supposed to be fun. But this is just how I see it, and I might have it all wrong.

And one more thing, and I'm sure everyone will tell you this. It is not a 'Nintendo', that is the company that makes it, the product is 'The Nintendo DS'.

Hopefully they'll publish it.
