One example is, I didn't like how the castle town looked. In the original game the castle town looked really old and it looked like it fit the series more. In the remake, it looked different. I can't really remember what it looked like but I think it might have looked more cartoony and modern? Don't get me wrong, I didn't think it looked bad, it's just, I kept thinking, "Why don't I just play the original?" I don't know, the castle town just looked out of place. It also could have been that the game didn't have enough changes when it came to it's looks that the castle town stood out that way.

Wow, I think you're the only person that thinks that. I thought OOT3D was absolutely phenomenal and the only way I ever want to play that game ever again.

I can't say I've ever thought that, either. Don't get me wrong - picking up a N64 controller and running through the dungeons is certainly nostalgic, but I can't imagine preferring the 64 version over the remake; especially not when they improved upon just about every aspect of the game.

OOT 3D felt more like today's Zelda games instead of the older ones. Not a lot, but to some degree. The old ones: Zelda 1 and 2, Link's Awakening, ALTTP, OOT, MM. I don't know if I'd consider WW to be more like the older ones or more like today's Zelda games. I'd have to play WW again to know, but I think I'd put it with the older ones. Once TP hit, the Zelda series changed for me. Zelda just wasn't the same anymore.

MM 3D, it sounds like they're going to be adding in game tutorials to explain things better and some hand holding. I don't like either of these things.....

(Temporarily closed. ...Gwaargh!) *doo wee doo wee doo*

Pyroll, if I may make such an assertion, I suspect that you're being influenced by either a.) nostalgic feelings of childhood wonder at having played the game for the first time on the N64 a long time ago, or, b.) a sense of imagination that comes from primitive graphics that you couldn't quite recreate with the new, updated graphics. Maybe a combination of a and b?

Anyway, it's perfectly fine that you prefer the original, but honestly, I have to agree that OoT 3D was about the most faithful, straight-up remake there could possibly be. I'm with LK here in saying that if I ever play OoT again, it will be with the remake - it completely resonated with me just like the original did before it.

Also, I don't think you have anything to worry about "in-game tutorials". OoT 3D just added a couple completely optional, out-of-the-way Sheikah Stones that you could go to for help if you needed. There was absolutely nothing forced. Even WW HD didn't add anything like new tutorials - it just made using all your menus/items/maps much a whole more efficient and less clunky.

--Fishing added, new ponds (other new areas in the game?!)
--at least one Boss battles has been tweaked somewhat to add some kind of new aspect
--NO additional hints or make-it-easier stuff

Wow! I can't believe they're actually adding completely new stuff! This is actually really exciting!

When you say tweaked boss battle,
Majoras Mask Boss spoiler, don't look if you never played majors mask

Some other bosses had a bit of of frustration behind them....3rd temple boss anyone?..I'm just so excited. I love MM!
The side quests are actually fun in this game, because they give you masks...

Well I can pretty much guarantee that "tweaked" boss is Gyorg based on the fact that he has some weird thing in his mouth in the trailer. I'm assuming they want you to attack that as Zora Link? I dunno.

Yeah if any boss is gonna get tweaked I too would imagine that it's Gyorg. Y'know, the boss that everyone still heatedly bashes 15 years after the game came out. Haha.

New fishing sounds cool though. It will be neat to see whole new areas added to Termina. Make it that much more fleshed out.
