I wouldn't call it original 3DS shitty, but I don't think the parts used in it can keep up with how much I use the system. Even if I didn't really play anything some days, I have had it on for Streetpass pretty much everyday since I got the system over three years ago. I've used it much more than all of my other handhelds, and I used them quite a bit. |

Well I'm kinda pissed off. Especially if they make exclusives for this new 3DS. I just bought my XL not that long ago. Why couldn't they have at least released this, you know, much later than the XL. @KJ: I'll be getting a PS4 over the new 3DS, for sure. |

I liked the original 3DS. It's comfortable to hold with my dainty hands. HOWEVER. It was a significant step down from the DSi, which I'm convinced is the greatest handheld ever designed. It's screen size, button layout, and even appearance are just glorious. |

Read this article about the new 3DS, guys. It sums up my thoughts. At least some of my thoughts, if not most. http://dispatches.cheatcc.com/1141 Edited by Pyroll7, Aug 29 2014, 08:19 PM.

The counterargument to that article, of course, is that fact that people were saying the same thing about the 2DS last year and the 3DS XL the year before. And, quelle surprise, they both sold like hotcakes. People buy Nintendo handhelds because that's where Pokemon and Animal Crossing is. |

I'm actually really excited for the New 3DS because I've always thought the original 3DS was a little underpowered. It obviously hasn't mattered too much as A Link Between Worlds, Fire Emblem: Awakening, and Super Mario 3D Land are all incredible games, but I'm all for better looking games. Plus, as weird as it looks, I think the new right stick will help for some games like Monster Hunter or First-Person games to allow better camera controls. The two new shoulder buttons are a welcome addition, as well. Plus, like I mentioned earlier, I've wanted a new 3DS for a while since my launch one is kinda crappy. I'm psyched. |

Yeah, I'm with LK on the New 3DS. I've had my original 3DS since around launch (so about 3 years), and he's getting up in years... the wireless and Streetpass functions are pretty slow. So I'll probably look into getting one of these puppies. Also, this will help extend the longevity of the 3DS, which will be fantastic for Nintendo, as the 3DS is IMO their best handheld yet. I'm at about 100 pieces left in Streetpass Puzzle Swap, though. I'll try to finish that first, then I'll make the switch. Oh, and Smash will feel fantastic with the New 3DS, I'm sure. |

See, the new 3DS is fine for you guys who only bought an original 3DS and not an XL , but I'm sure that there's a lot of other people out there who bought the XL who are just as pissed as I am.

Well, you don't have to get the new one, and other than Xenoblade Chronicles—which is a port anyways—they haven't announced any exclusive games for it. I understand where you're coming from, definitely, but it might not be as big of a deal as you think. |

I'd like to see this new 3D tech they've got in action, because the 3DS' 3D looked like shit from day 1 (is it true that the XL's 3D looks less shit?). If it can really look 3D from any angle you view it, then I'm sold already. Also, it would be nice if they included more than ONE STYLUS IN THE BOX |

I understand where you're coming from, but for me there's still no point for the PS4. Not enough games on it that I want, plus there's plenty of PS3 games I have to play since I "officially" got mine pretty late. On the other hand, with the New 3DS, I have a close to launch system that is running into some problems. The amount of money I'll have to throw down on a New 3DS nowhere near as much as a system that I probably won't be playing much for a while. Now, if my 3DS didn't have wifi problems, I would totally pass up on this and wait it out for the next Nintendo handheld. I tend to only buy/own one version of a handheld. I had GBC, GBA SP, and original DS (to be fair, my mother had an original GameBoy, but that wasn't mine). If I know my system can last me for a while, like my original DS, I pass on the newer models. |

Hopefully they changed the position of the style holder to the right side instead of the left-top side. It made getting the stylus a pain in the ass. |

I think it's on the bottom of the unit this time around. I really wish they'd just stick with the right side. I loved how easy it was to access on my DSi. |

It's on the bottom. Near the middle, on the right side of the headphone jack.

I'm one of those who got a launch model and whilst it sounds like my unit is holding up a lot better than some of yours I think this is still a legitimate upgrade. My situation really doesn't allow me to sink time into home console games anymore and because of that I've bern halfway Xenoblade for years, so I welcome it coming to a handheld where I do most of my gaming. I'm really hoping they start bringing Wii or Gamecube games to the N3DS. I'd love the other project rainfall games or some of the GC titles I missed out on. |
