Earlier this morning, Japan had a 22-minute Nintendo 3DS Direct, solely based on upcoming 3rd party 3DS games. Below is a review of this Nintendo 3DS Direct, in case you haven't had the chance to see it: Final Fantasy Explorers ![]() Fresh gameplay details for the new 3DS action RPG from Square Enix, Final Fantasy Explorers, were shown off in the latest Nintendo Direct in Japan. Set for release this winter to Japanese audiences, Explorers will allow gamers to play with others locally or online. The game relies on a job system and will feature the likes of Knights, Monks, Archers, Black Mages, Paladins and more. Summons will also play a part in the battle system. The latest video footage of the game showed several minutes of gameplay featuring Ifrit from Final Fantasy III. It was noted that it supports up to 4 players online and will come to Japan next winter. The video footage of the game showed players taking on a variety of different monsters ranging in size. There is currently no word about a release for Final Fantasy Explorers outside of Japan. During the Nintendo Direct stream, Yuji Horii stated that Dragon Quest X is a title he’s been wanting to put on the Nintendo 3DS since back when Square Enix were still developing the game, and now it’s finally happening. Dragon Quest X was made for players to be able to play the MMORPG more comfortably with the 3DS, while aiming to attract new players to the game. The 3DS version will have content up to the Version 2 major update. With Dragon Quest X, Square has used the processing power of the cloud to deliver cargo to the console, being able to show some better graphics. The gameplay, in addition to the visuals, shows the player's interaction with others online. A slot-machine mini game was also briefly shown. Stores in Japan will be selling Dragon Quest X on September 4. The smartphone version of the game, which also uses cloud streaming like the 3DS, has yet to add the Version 2 update, so unless it sees the update before September, the 3DS version will be ahead. This game has not yet been announced for release outside of Japan. To see the new Dragon Quest X gameplay footage, click on the video link below: Dragon Quest X - Nintendo Direct 07/11/2014 jap. Kenka Bancho is a 3D brawler in which you battle multiple people to become the ultimate "Bancho". The word "Bancho" usually refers to a gangster. In today's Nintendo 3DS Direct, a teaser trailer for a Kenka Bancho 3DS game was shown. There was no title or release date confirmed, just gameplay. The trailer shows some of the new footage including a look at the remade version of the Old Desert, to go with familiar monsters like Daimyo Hermitaur, Monoblos and Diablos among others who’ll make a come-back in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. Finally, it ends with a look at the new gold-scaled monster giving the hunter in the video quite the rough time. This monster was originally teased in a previous trailer. Oh, and we also catch a glimpse of a funky-looking Felyne. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is slated for release in Japan on October 11, 2014, and in the West in early 2015 for Nintendo 3DS. Tsujimoto also stated that a gameplay demo of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate will be available at Akihabara in Tokyo, Japan tomorrow for people to play there.
