Oh man, that document is so fake. haha Castlevania: Symphony of the Night 2? They could've at least put some effort into it.

Plus, "Shard of Nightmare" is way too dark for Nintendo.

Honestly I think it sounds more "fan-fiction-esque dark" than you know, ACTUALLY dark or grim. Then again, I'm pretty sure "Twilight Princess" sounds like a "dark" fan-fiction title as well, so... I guess anything's possible.

People are saying that it would be related to Link's Awakening, in which the main villain was "Nightmare". I... well, I don't think so ;p

Regardless, though, I DO think Zelda U will be playable at E3. Kinda like the Skyward Sword Motion+ demo thing? I think they'll have something similar. Also, I expect it to be released Spring 2015, honestly.

OH, and Nintendo released a thing showing their currently-revealed works-in-progress, and there were a couple things of note:

-Yarn Yoshi is still a thing
-Fire Emblem X SMT is still a thing
-X is said to be out this year

I'm sure all three will be at E3.

Oh yeah! I totally remember that Yarn Yoshi game! We haven't seen anything from that in AGES.

THE RUMOR MILL JUST KEEPS ON CHURNIN'

This has, like, every hallmark of a fake that a fake can possibly have. If this image had been "leaked" BEFORE the name was leaked, then maybe I'd think twice, but... Still, though, looks cool enough.

So here's another one for you. The Pokemon Company trademarked “Pokken Fighters” and “Pokken Tournament” in the US about 9 months ago.

    Remember who's co-developing Smash Bros 4?

You know what these guys make?

Whoever made that fake Shard of Nightmare logo did a pretty crappy job. Why is the 's' overlapping the 'Z'? It looks terrible.

@Ice: A Pokemon fighter seems it could be cool, but other than the original Pokemon Pinball and Pokemon Snap, I'm pretty done with Pokemon spin-offs.

I actually didn't like the original pinball OR Snap, so I think we're pretty much the opposite there. To be fair, apart from the Puzzle Titles, Stadium titles (which apparently Gamefreak considers main titles), and the Mystery Dungeon titles, I don't think there are any other titles that really hit main stream. I know the Rumble series was a thing for a while, and so was the Ranger titles, but a fighting game made by Gamefreak (design, art, music) and Namco Bandai (game engine, netcode, physics, etc)?

Sign me the hell up. I'm not big on Tekken, but I've recently tried Soul Calibur 5, and it's a really good game. I could totally see a fighting game like that featuring Pokemon, so long as the pokemon chosen are all Bipedal.

I could totally see a roster consisting of:

Lucario (Already Shown, obvious. Likely the "main" character. Ryu type character)
Blaziken/Infernape/Emboar (Blaziken was already shown, and both Infernape and Emboar could also work)
Greninja (Smash Bros, sterotypical Ninja character. Taki)
Zoroark (Unova Poster Child, Bipedal, likely a tricky-type character. Or one of those characters who uses everyone's playstyle)
    Primape (Boxing character)
    Machamp/Medicham
    Hitmonchan/Hitmonlee (Boxing/Kick Boxing character)
    Gallade ("Weapon" character. Yoshimitsu/Rolento)
    Lopunny (Obligatory sultry female character)
Zangoose (Medium character. Maybe a charge character, like Guile)
Weavile (Really fast, really strong, no health. Akuma)
    Throh/Sawk (Grapple Character - Zangief)
    Bisharp (M. Bison)
Chestnaught (Slow, heavy, deals lots of damage, lots of health. Astaroth/Nightmare)
    Pangoro (Animal)
    And SOMEONE holding Aeigslash.

    Thoughts?

Yeah, I have a thought for you:

WHY ISN'T MEWTWO ON THAT LIST?!

Edit: Nintendo has recently confirmed that they will be holding TWO big evening presentations at E3.
Each of these presentations will be running about 90 minutes. The first is planned for Tuesday, June 10 from 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM (Pacific Time). It will be a developer discussion on the upcoming Super Smash Bros. games.
The second presentation will be on Wednesday, June 11 at 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM (Pacific Time), and will be focused on "a new game for 3DS".

It makes me wonder what this new game could possibly be. A new Metroid game, perhaps? Or maybe it is a completely new IP. Only time will tell what this mysterious new game will be.

As usual Brendan, you are good to get the news out. I came here to post about it, but you beat me to it! EVERYONE CHECK BRENDAN'S POST EDIT

Yeah, Nintendo's hosting 2 one hour and 1/2 developer discussions/presentations during E3. One for Smash 4, the other for a new game.

They're REALLY going to devote an hour and a half to Smash? After the 40 whole minutes of jam-packed content in the Direct?! I mean, I'm sure they won't necessarily be showing much NEW info - this will probably just be the developers talking and playing it and whatnot. But still: an hour and a half is a long time!

Oh, you know what? I bet they'll spend some time detailing moveset customization and other features like that - stuff that they won't want to waste time discussing in their Digital Event.

    @ICE AND POKEMON
Yeah, that's a very interesting prediction! I love the characters you picked out to fill the different roles. Lopunny, lol. I think a real Pokemon fighter would be a pretty smart move, one that blazes some interesting territory. I'd buy it, anyway.

The 90 Minute 3DS presentation has to be of Majora's Mash 3D right? I can't possibly think of what else it could be...

    Unless....

    No...

    A NEW METROID GAME!?!?!?

But like... why would they spend 90 minutes on a remake? Rather, how COULD they spend 90 minutes on a remake? Especially when they didn't even give OoT that kind of spotlight...

Actually a 3DS Metroid game was on a "Digital Event content leak" list not too long ago - last week or so. Maybe they could debut it in the Digital Event with a cool trailer, then come in with the 90 minute thing and explain things...? If you're curious, I'll find the leak list for you. It just might... be possible...!

    EDIT
    Nah, I'll post the "leak":
    http://gameotakublog.wordpress.com/2014/05/10/leaked-nintendo-digital-event-2014/

The only thing this "leak" has going against it is that it is just so PERFECT. Like, if they revealed all that, the the entire city of Los Angeles might explode or something. Just too much goodness.

I would orgasm on the spot if that rumor was true. A 2D Metroid developed by Next Level Games? An open world Zelda game? A new IP by Retro Studios? A new Star Fox Adventures-like Star Fox game? Oh my gawsh.
