It's officially March 2014, and this month on Nintendo consoles we got a couple releases from Nintendo on the 3DS, and a bunch of indie titles arriving on Wii U. So, let's take a closer look at what Nintendo fans could be playing this month! :D

    Yoshi's New Island

First off, Yoshi's New Island for Nintendo 3DS will finally launch on March 14. This title features a soft, colorful painted artstyle with lots of memorable music and gameplay. Yoshi guides Baby Mario through a bunch of worlds that are filled with angry enemies and useful collectibles. Yoshi himself can even transform into a variety of vehicles, like a helicopter, a jackhammer, submarine, and many more. This game has really shaped up, and it looks like it will deliver some entertaining platforming fun.

    Pokémon Battle Trozei

Pokémon Battle Trozei launches on the Nintendo 3DS eShop on March 20. It's a puzzle game featuring over 700 Pokémon from the series for you to take on and collect. All you have to do is match three in a row, and that Pokémon will attack a boss Pokémon on the top screen. So, if you match a water-type Pokémon, it will cause more damage to a fire-type Pokémon. This title also features up to four player multiplayer, which is kinda cool.

    Moon Chronicles

Also on the 3DS eShop later this month is Moon Chronicles. It's a first-person adventure title where you'll explore a space station and battle creepy creatures. This title is also the very first first-person-shooter on the system, so that's pretty unique.

There are four titles coming from indie studios for the Wii U eShop later this month.

    Ballpoint Universe Infinite

    Posted Image

Ballpoint Universe Infinite is an action-adventure game made up entirely in a ballpoint pen artstyle.

    Shovel Knight

    Posted Image

Shovel Knight is a side-scrolling platformer, where a simple trusty shovel is your main defense against evil enemies.

Scram Kitty and his Buddy on Rails

And then, finally, Scram Kitty and his Buddy on Rails is filled with rail-riding anti-gravity lazer-blasting fun.

I think it's pretty clear that Wii U continues to offer very little. Meanwhile, the launch of Yoshi's New Island is probably the highlight of March for Nintendo fans.

What games are you looking forward to this month?

Yumi's Odd Odyssey, 3DS game, was confirmed to come out on the 20th this month for US. Looks pretty interesting.

Have you checked out the original Pokemon Trozei? It's a good way to get a grip on how it plays. (just in case)
