We all remember the Nintendo Direct last week, right? Well that same day, Nintendo of Japan uploaded a video about NEW AR Cards that you can get from eShop point-cards. Now this isn't that big of a surprise, because of the new Mario AR Cards that came in Japan in April. This time, they have new AR cards for Pikmin, as well as Animal Crossing. For a video of these new AR cards, click here.

The Animal Crossing set with Timmy & Tommy (1,000 yen), Isabelle (2,000 yen), and K.K. Slider (3,000 yen) will be available on November 21. Characters pop out when you use the eShop app Photo Together with Animal Crossing. The ? mark card that comes with the 3DS makes a tree appear.

A set of three Pikmin cards – Yellow Pikmin (1,000 yen), Red Pikmin (2,000 yen), and Blue Pikmin (3,000 yen) – head to stores on December 2. The ? mark card makes a Bulborb appear. All of the characters have different poses, but you can drag them off the card to make funny photos

To be able to activate these AR cards, you have to scan the QR code on the eShop points-card to download a different AR app, to use those AR Cards.

I think Nintendo should release these AR card-eShop products in North America, as it would raise the sales of eShop point cards.
