Mine would be Metroid Prime with Super Metroid closely behind. I have only played Prime Trilogy, fusion and Super Metroid btw. If you are a fan of Samus Aran, please consider voting for her. http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/5264 |

I've only played the original Metroid and Super Metroid. I loved them both, but I have to say that Super Metroid is one of the best-designed games I've ever played. |

So far, I've only played the first two and haven't completed either yet. I owned Metroid II: Return of Samus when I was younger, but I could never finish the game. Every area looks almost identical to the last. I played the original Metroid for my first time on the Wii VC. I lost my password somehow, so now I have to begin the game all over again. I decided to just print out an overworld map from GameFAQs, because I don't feel like wandering around for hours again. I think I'm going to do the same for Return of Samus, because that game is literally twice as difficult to navigate. I've downloaded Super Metroid, but I won't be playing that until I finish the first two games. At this point, I'd have to say that Return of Samus is my favorite. Even though it's a nightmare to navigate, I really enjoy the added amount of exploration involved. The new upgrades/abilities add a lot to the gameplay. MetaZora, I prefer my Metroid in 2D as well. I've never played any of the Prime series, but I didn't care for the first-person segments in Metroid: Other M. I didn't mention Other M above, because I'd rather just forget that game even exists. I still really like Other M. Like a lot. Probably my favorite game from Team Ninja in a long time. That being said, I also like the 2D Metroid's a whole lot more. Fusion is probably my all time favorite. |
