I am sooo sorry I wasn't able to make it to Smash Camp, even though I said I would come. I was a bit busy that week...Anyway... Yesterday, Nintendo Of Japan released a Nintendo Direct which told about upcoming services and games. Some of these might come to North America, so I have decided to review it. The Denpa Men 3 ![]() The Denpa Men 3, a continuation of Genius Sonority’s series, is coming for Nintendo 3DS in Japan. It will arrive as Download Software on eShop. The Denpa Men 3 includes a raft of new features, including the ability to create a house for your characters and recruit monsters to fight for you. You'll also be able to import your characters from the previous two games — both of which will be subject to a 50 percent discount promotion. A demo is hitting the Japanese 3DS eShop on July 31st, with the final game coming on August 7, costing 1000 Yen. You can also visit islands such as Bazaar Island, Rental Island and Auto Antenna Tower for auto-capture. Recruiting monsters will use the 3DS's Augmented Reality function, allowing you to capture monsters in the air around you, similar to Pokemon Dream Radar. Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move ![]() Although Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move has already released in the USA and Europe on May 9 (and Australia on May 10), it hasn't came to Japan yet. As announced in this Nintendo Direct, it will be coming to Japan on July 24 for 1200 yen. Chibi-Robo Photography! ![]() Nintendo announced Chibi-Robo Photography!, an Augmented Reality app which tasks players with snapping real-world items to match outlines within the game. Take pictures of real life objects, turn them into "Nostaljunk" by matching up the objects against silhouettes and add them to the museum. Chibi-Robo Photography! is based around mini-games which make use of the 3DS console's camera. It's available in Japan right now for 1500 Yen on eShop, and there's also a demo on offer. Also, a new Limited Edition Chibi-Robo themed Wii U was annnounced as part of a promotion. With the Chibi-Robo Wii U, you can also get a Chibi-Robo T-Shirt. Flipnote Studio 3D ![]() In Japan, Flipnote Studio 3D has been delayed. It will now be releasing on July 24. 3DS Point Cards ![]() 3 new 3DS Point Cards are available for Japan. These point cards can be used on Nintendo eShop for 3DS. They have 3 values: 1000 Yen, 2000 Yen, and 3000 Yen. The 1000 Yen Point cards will include an AR card for a Koopa Troopa. The 2000 Yen Point cards will include an AR Card for Luigi. The 3000 Yen Point cards will include an AR card for Bowser. These AR cards can be used by downloading a Mario AR Card app on the eShop in Japan. YNN App ![]() The broadcast also included details on a new video streaming app from YNN for the Wii U console. This application requires a YNN membership. YNN provides video content including anime, drama, variety shows, sports, and movies which can be watched on the TV or the Wii U Gamepad. This app will arrive at August in Japan. Damae-Can App ![]() Damae-Can, a food delivery service app, is coming to Wii U. You can order food to be delivered straight to your house. Damae-Can requires a membership. This application will be available sometime later in July. Bandai Channel App ![]() Namco Bandai Games is making a Bandai Channel App for Wii U. It provides a wide range of Anime programming and a free 1 month trial is set to arrive in August. It is an anime and children's video streaming service. Wii U eShop deal ![]() Top up 5000 yen or 10,000 yen on the Nintendo eShop by 10th July 2013 at 9:59am to get 500 yen or 1000 yen back in credit respectively. Nintendo Network Premium users get 10% back in credit. Wii U Promotion Offer ![]() Purchase Pikmin 3, LEGO City Undercover or The Wonderful 101 and get it at 10% off when you purchase it during the first week it is released in Japan. Yeah - that's actually pretty interesting. I wasn't too big on the GC game - I think Alani liked it, but it's cool to see him seeing some more show time. |
