Well I mean, like, publishers purdy them all up to make the game look better. Screenshots are never indicative of what the game actually looks like in action. I do think the game looks good, but I'm going to wait and see what it looks like when you actually play the game, you know?

Oh, totally. That's generally the case ahead of time - but thinking about it, this game is going to be shown in less than 2 weeks - showing off screenshots that won't look like the game probably isn't the best idea. But who knows.

Obviously, SEGA forgot all the other times Eggman teamed up with Sonic.

I've always wondered though, do they actually do that? Make screenshots look better than what the game actually looks like? To me most screenshots look like the game, like how the game actually looks. I don't think they look better than the game. I don't know though, I've never really payed too much attention to that.

I might actually get this Sonic game. It looks like it might be pretty good.

The game doesn't look too bad, I just have a hard time trusting Sonic games now ever since Sonic The Hedgehog in 2006 and many games that came after that, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way. I am starting to feel like Sonic is kind of a stale concept at this point. Sonic Team seems to not know what they wanna do with Sonic games anymore. That's at least my opinion.
Sonic Generations was pretty cool though.

Speaking of which, does anyone here know exactly to what extent Nintendo is involved in this game's development?

This whole thing is supposed to be some unprecedented partnership between Sega and Nintendo to make three Sonic games. So, is Nintendo actually helping with development, with ideas and implementation, or does this partnership simply mean that these games will be exclusive to Nintendo consoles?

I know Nintendo's been pushing hardcore to work with third parties - they're publishing most of Atlus' games in Korea, and a lot over here, along with of course, the upcoming crossover. As for this deal - I know Nintendo is publishing, and I think they're helping develop?

I'm pretty excited for both versions, as I really like Sonic games. I'm glad the Wii U version is ditching the Colors/Gens style, those games really disappointed me. Also, the music sounds great!

and the rhythm powerup looks like the silliest thing ever and i love it

Chances are this is a purely promotional thing, I really doubt Nintendo has anything to do with the development of the game, and they're only publishing it in Europe and Australia (which is pretty weird seeing as SEGA has branches there).

I was really interested in the 3DS version, until I found out it's only going to be 2.5D. Another WiiU game to look forward to, if I decide to purchase a WiiU over the PS4.
