I hope it's something new but not something too out there like Sunshine was, and I really hope it won't be too similar to a previous Mario game like how Mario 3D Land was similar to Mario 3. I know modern game discs contain more memory, so we no longer need a hub world as conservatively constructed as Mario 64's. But Meta don't give a fuck. Meta wants to jump in paintings again.

Miyamoto's a tried and true genius - I wouldn't be surprised if we got something completely new, period. I can see a Galaxy 3 - it'll sell ass tons, be excellent, etc. - but I think they have more planned for that kind of legacy. Also, I think Nintendo confirmed that they'll be hosting a Nintendo Direct before E3, and doing Direct like videos during E3. Either way, I think, with all of this news of the PS4 and the One, that they'll show a bevy of titles. We'll definitely see SSB, Mario Kart, Zelda - the works, but I'm totally expecting something out of the field. Nintendo's stated that with the Wii U and 3DS, more third party companies would be utilizing Nintendo's first party titles - Namco with SSB, Team Ninja with Metroid, Atlus with Fire Emblem etc. I wouldn't be surprised to see something like Ice Climbers or some other Nintendo franchise being reimagined in HD, realistic visuals by a third party publisher. If any franchise can do it - I think Ice Climbers can. Zelda will likely be handled by Nintendo, but who knows? I could see someone like say, Konami, doing a realistic Ice Climbers title.

Even though I've yet to play a game in that series, I would love to see Nintendo bring a new entry to the WiiU. None of that Spirit Camera crap. Plus, I for whatever reason think it would be cool to see just a couple more realistic type characters in Smash Bros. I like it in fighting games that have a bunch of different ip's represented, when there are lots of different styles clashing. Not that I don't love all of Nintendo's cartoony awesomeness, (I totally do) but I feel like a survival horror character would be really neat in Smash Bros. I know that's a more personal thing and I'm probably not in the majority. I'm not suggesting btw, that we strip Smash of its family friendly appeal. But like in Brawl's campaign, probably my favorite moment was when Samus (who's one of the somewhat more serious/realistic characters) meets Pikachu in that fucked up scifi lab. It was so cool. Again I'm just trying to illustrate that I'm a sucker for that shit in crossovers. Edited by MetaZora, May 21 2013, 06:46 PM.

We'll probably see some kind of Fatal Frame presentation - oh man, a Luigi's Mansion x Fatal Frame stage would be bad ass. I doubt it, though - we'll likely just see stickers or music or something. It'd be really cool to see Eternal Darkness get represented someway - a character would be too far fetched, but maybe an assist trophy?
