Think about it. Almost every Zelda game is something new. Something in a whole new, recreated world, unique to that game. As cool as this is, it always (at least for me) leaves the feeling of wanting more. You like the Great Sea in Wind Waker? Well too bad, it had its run. Like New Hyrule? Too bad, you have all you're gonna get. You like Skyward Sword's overworld design? Good, 'cause you ain't gonna see it again! You like ALttP's dual world, classic Hyrule? Well, wait a sec, we actually CAN see it revisted, re-explored, expanded, fleshed out to even greater heights! You know how much I would LOVE to see another Wind Waker, with bigger islands and more things to explore? But that'll never happen (Phantom Hourglass hardly counts)! Here, however, with ALttP, it can! So again - if they keep the world familiar enough but really flesh it out and expand the mechanics, characters/personalities/peoples, and the land, this could be a very special Zelda experience, unlike any other. I'm perfectly okay with it - would seem odd not to be.
